E36 BMW M3 LS update.

I had a little time to start on the underside flat bottom aero.

This is one side of the aluminum frame that will bolt to the underside of the car. It's 1"x1" x1/8 6061 tube.

I'll make both sides and lift em in with floor stands and get it all level with the laser. Then drill the frame and the shell for mountings. Mounts in the car will be M8 weld nuts and the frame will get crush tubes welded in for countersink hardware, so the belly pan can bolt to these frames with countersink hardware into nutserts in the frame.

Weld it up then make another.

I am a wood or coal fired pizza guy, Sicilian style.

Therefore I am not ashamed to say tonight I had Buddy's for the first time. After over ten years of living in Detroit.

Even without cheese I can tell you this Detroit pizza is way better than it has any right to be!

E36 BMW M3 LS electric power steering is done. Other than mounting the control module under the dash it's all good 🙂

Time to move onto the underside and make mounts for the flat bottom aero, exhaust system etc.

I did a thing and I was sober!

After a few years of research, YouTube and hovering I pulled a trigger.

8HP90 8 speed from an S8 for Judas. Sequential 8 speed with a clutch, or grandma full auto by pressing a button. Factory rated fo 1000lbtq.

I will miss the manual 6, not so much the clutch although it was amazing for a twin disk.

NOt many people have done this on the planet. I know of two or three done in Europe.

Time will tell. (the built to the hilt 01E was $10k plus FW, Clutch etc.) $20K probaly.

Finally uploaded episode 3 of the BMW E36 M3 LS GTR. My day job has been super hectic so this took a lot longer to come together than I had hoped.

This episode is all about building firewalls, which is a lot more complex than you might imagine.

The video is pretty long as I wanted to show the entire process.
