So yesterday I posted our new couch in my story. But I wanted to share a little… so I have been wanting a new couch, always, and I have been pinning, and tagging different looks, ALL green… the couch had to be green. Then I walk into Arhaus and see this couch and fell in love, it made me feel everything I was looking for in the green couches lol… and now I don’t have to worry about the green competing with my wall color. See everything happens for a reason.

I decided to turn the study into a dining room… it’s a long story… short version, we ordered a new table for the breakfast nook, but it was damaged in transit ☹️… so until it gets fixed we are gathering around this table… and to be honest, I’m not mad about it. The table is the first table and I picked out together in our Novi home and it’s so special to me. And that leather chair was a find while shopping with my mom, which are always fun adventures, and it cleans up great after my child eats in it 😂…Anyway I was coming down the stairs and just got all the feels, so thought I’d share.

Yesterday I styled these shelves for my clients “man den”… he has so many collectibles that I really wanted to highlight them, but also create some texture and an electric vibe that can grow over the years. I’m super happy with how it turned out and I love that it’s so personal to and for him. Swipe to see the before…. Side note: I started to style some of the shelves before I took the before lol.

I try to create functionality in all the spaces I design design. Storage is always key, especially when you don’t have a ton of square footage... A great way to add storage and keep your space looking great is to, add a secretary, they add storage and create a great base for artwork, family photos and vignettes.... this is a lake house project I’ve been working on and I’m loving the way it’s coming together... still need to add a few touches around the place before I share the finished product, but here is a little peak.

My husband and I volunteered to take two little boys for a week... so I cleaned up the guest room and transformed it into a kid room... this was the end result. Well... this was the end result before I bought a few more things and added a few more stuff animals on the beds. But for the most part everything I already had, because I’m crazy 😜, but nonetheless I had everything. Anyway, the boys came Sunday and they were thrilled with the room, and they have slowly collected little treasures from around the house to add to it. ❤️ it’s been a crazy week and it’s only Wednesday!... deep breaths.

2018, 2019, and 2020... the years pass and things change, but if 2020 has thought me anything, it’s how grateful I am for my little family.... Christmas is kind of a bummer this year; but we are making the best of it!... Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas to all!!! May this holiday season be kind to you.

Meet my new assistant... what he lacks in skills he makes up for in cuteness.

So I decided to do things a little different this year... with my cute child running around and throwing balls, I wanted to make sure the Christmas tree was pretty, but still safe from flying objects and or tiny hands... So I just stuck with florals and shatter proof bulbs, but I felt like it was still missing something.... so I decided to dehydrate some oranges for a little pop of color... it was actually a nice distraction from everything. Because of covid we won’t be hosting any holiday parties, so there really isn’t a rush for me to get the house decorated, and this just let me tinker for a bit and just enjoy making something pretty.
