The Sun ☀️ was hitting just perfect to trick the phone camera. Spinner was looking pretty good after 3 step with and trying some new wools pads out.

We were just starting to get busy when the BOOM happened about 5 years ago. Definitely our most common single engine piston aircraft that we detail.

What’s your favorite and least favorite thing about detailing these planes?

Pros: Really like the smooth belly with fixed gear makes belly washes a lot easier. Also the owners, not all but most in my experience don’t so much nickel and dime on the price but just want the plane “looking good” again.
Cons: Interior carpets on these planes typically are a thick tall piles and usually black making simple vacuum job much more time consuming. Even though it has contributed to tons of ceramic jobs what were they thinking with the textured carbon decals!? 100LL exhaust loves to sneak into every nook. The amount of clean up jobs from other (detailers or owners) who accidentally waxed over it the carbon. Then you have white chalkboard decals instead!

Why we offer and recommend post flights? This is off of one round trip. Less then 3 flight hours. A little bit here saves you a lot there.
