Hello friends of Friendship Center! Here’s our calendar for Kids Club and Youth Group for the month of March:

There will be NO meetings next week on Tuesday and Thursday (March 5 and 7).

But we WILL be having Kids Club and Kids/Youth during the week of Spring Break (March 12 and 14) at their regular times.

Then we will finish out the rest of March month on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Next Tuesday, January 9th, we will kick off our winter activities. Kids Club on Tuesdays from 3 to 4:30 pm, Kids Zone on Thursdays for all ages from 5 to 7 pm, and Family Game Night with Bingo on Saturday, January 27th from 4 to 6 pm.

Someone special wants to see your family tonight from 4-7 pm!!!!

We are excited to celebrate our Savior’s birth with the MLK Community from 4 to 7 pm. Free Pizza, Popcorn, Powdered Candy, Pictures with Santa, Family Christmas Store with 80% off gifts, Build-a-bear, Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, Toiletries, and Diapers.

Thank you, MLK, for allowing us to serve you in 2023.

Parents Note: No child will be allowed downstairs while parents shop and go through the food pantry. Children can stay upstairs, enjoy pizza and popcorn, talk with Santa, or play games while parents shop.

If your child has attended Kids Club on Tuesdays or Kids Zone on Thursday Nights, tonight from 5 to 7 pm, they can pick up free gifts for their parents or guardians. We will help them wrap the presents too.

Friday, December 15th, from 4 to 7 pm, Open to the Public, pictures with Santa, our Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, Toiletries and Diapers.

We may have leftover Christmas Gifts available for purchase at 80% off the original price on Friday. Cash Only. All proceeds go to help serve the MLK Community. Merry Christmas to all.

Yesterday, because of faithful supporters of our ministry to the MLK Community, we reached our budget needs for 2023!!! 5 years in a row!!!!!!

In my first year, we were down to a month's supply; now, we are getting closer and closer to having a year's worth of financial support in our bank.

Would you consider monthly support in 2024? You can set up online at www.friendshipcenterdsm.org and all gifts are tax-deductible. Thank you for your support in 2023.

Friendly reminder, all children who attended Kids Club and Kids Zone can pick up their free parent’s Christmas presents on Thursday from 5-7 pm.

On Friday, parents can purchase gifts from 4-7 pm. Pictures with Santa, 40 build-a bear’s available for the public. Our Food Pantry, toiletries and Clothes Closet open to all.

If you adopted a child for Christmas, please have your gifts dropped off at the center by December 8th. Each gift should have a nametag and the original price, please.

Our Monthly Food Pantry will be open on Friday, December 15th, from 6 to 7 pm.

The center would like to wish Teen Group Leader, Shelly Doty a very Happy Birthday. Shelly brings teens to church every Wednesday, feeds them and treats them like family. Please help us wish her a Happy Birthday
