Tonights the night! We look forward to seeing you all soon, and to preview the evening here is a member spotlight featuring Nancy Briggs! In Nancy's words, "Potter, sculptor, artist, teacher, gardener, mess maker. I’ve been making pots since 1971. Graduated from UW-Stevens Point and began a studio in the bluffs near Baraboo, Wis. I moved to Des Moines, IA in 1988 and began teaching ceramics at the Des Moines Art Center for the next 30 years. It was a joy to connect with adults and kids through clay. The lessons I taught kids formed the concepts that currently influence my work, birds, animals and telling stories. My sculpture has been included in exhibitions including DMAC artists annual, and Heritage Gallery . My work has shown at numerous art festivals in the Midwest including KC Plaza, DMAF . Now I produce art in my renovated carriage house studio . My work is sold at Edgewood Orchard gallery in Fish CreekWI, Outside the Lines, Dubuque/Galena, and Octagon shop in Ames, IA." Check out her amazing work, and follow her on FB at
