Marylou Ashooh Lazos

ML Art Services (a.k.a MLArtS) framing forges my many years of working as an artist and museum collections curator into a framer who appreciates and cares for the things that we treasure. Offering fine art and collectibles framing at an affordable price, I work with the customer to find a way to view and protect special collections using preservation materials and methods while keeping costs to a minimum.

Marylou is best known as a figure artist working primarily in colored pencil on toned paper. Her drawings are reminiscent of old master sketches and capture the first hand observances of working directly from the model. After studying at Massachusetts College of Art and the University of New Hampshire she went on to get a Master’s Degree in Art History at SUNY Binghamton. Most of her life has been curating history museum collections in Manchester, NH where she developed a passion for the objects charged with stories of the past. Her most recent ventures involve making assemblage art from the ten thousand things around us… found objects with bits of accumulated treasures from her own past, finding beauty and interest in things others might discard. Marylou is also a framer and incorporates framing as a part of her assemblage art. Marylou splits her time between Manchester, New Hampshire and Ocean Point, Maine where she has her studio.
