Check out Toddler Time this Friday, June 5th at 10am in the Community Room with Ms. Tabby! The theme this week is Dino-Diggers! Get ready to bounce, sing, and listen to books and stories!

Toddler Time is designed for babies and toddlers ages two and under. Toddler Time meets on Fridays at 10 a.m. in the library’s Community Room.

We've got another exciting summer announcement! Smoothie King has graciously provided coupons for our summer reading finishers! The next 100 youth finishers will receive a coupon for a free 12 oz smoothie with purchase of a 20 oz drink, and at random, 25 adult finishers will receive a coupon for a free 20 oz smoothie. Thank you so much to our local Smoothie King for this generous sponsorship!

Dive into the past as we unearth dinosaurs, cave people, and life before the 20th century!. Kids in grades K-5 will play games, do crafts, and enjoy scavenger hunts! Stomp, Chomp, & Explore meets tomorrow Thursday, June 4th at 10 a.m.

The theme this week is My Pet Dino.

Stomp, Chomp, & Explore is this summer’s school age program. It is intended for children in grades K-5. The program meets in the library’s Community Room every Thursday at 10 a.m. The program runs open house style until 11:30 a.m.

Bearsie and Quackers unearth new adventures! Join Ms. Dawn, Miss Alyssa, and the fabulous teen volunteers for Read & Roar Storytime, tomorrow Wednesday, June 3. This week’s theme is Unearthing the Giants. Enjoy books, music, puppets, and a skit performed by the talented teen volunteers.

Preschool Storytime during the summer happens each Wednesday at 10 a.m. and again at 11:15 a.m. Preschool Storytime is designed for ages 3-5, but all ages are welcome.

A big thank you to Molly from Great Plains Nature Center for coming out and taking our Derby patrons on an incredible journey about Kansas through time. The favorite part was getting hands-on with some cool artifacts.

Learn about constellations, planets, the universe, and more without leaving the library! Audience members will enter a 6-meter tall inflatable dome to view an unforgettable high-resolution presentation about our solar system and beyond!

Tomorrow kicks off our Teen Tuesday summer season, and the 6th - 12th graders are exploring Stone Age Discoveries! We're stepping back into the cave dweller days by making LED campfire lanterns, having some spicy chips, and playing an intense variation of the board game, Fire Tower.

Join us tomorrow, June 2nd to discover the ancient history of Kansas in the rocks beneath our feet. Learn how Kansas has changed over time, and see what creatures used to call it home.

Great Plains Nature Center is part of our Dino-Mite Performers show series. All performances take place in the library's Community Room and have two shows, one at 10 a.m. and one at 2 p.m.
