Ben Franklin and Malcolm Knowles were the inspiration for what we are doing now. Today it's important that you learn, where you learn is not nearly so important. If you can study on your own, learn what you want, great. But if you are considering formal education talk with us first. It may be we can help you connect with others who have similar interests and help you start a self-directed learning group.
Malcolm Knowles is seen by many adult educators as the father of self-directed learning. Sometime the biggest challenge with older learners is keeping them awake. Sometime the seating arrangement enabling a fellow student's gentle nudge makes all the difference. Have you looked up "Self-Directed Learning" on Wikipedia lately?
