One of my favorite times of year is foal season at Sand Wash Basin. Although we didn't see any newborns this time, there was so much beauty. The flowers are popping out, the stallions are feisty, and the first nights sunset, simply eye candy! I love it there.

How The West Was Won
-Sand Wash Basin Wild Horses-

On a little Sunday drive and this happened. Crazy how the two played, both thoroughly enjoying the playground together. When the young bull elk was distracted by the group of ducks, it was as if the mallard raised out of the water flapping his wings to say, "hey, over here".
A couple of songs come to mind....

Well, well.... Lucky Me!!

A recent trip to Bosque Del Apache Wildlife Refuge. Lucky to see a squadron of Javelina close to the road! The Wilson's Snipe was a first for me, too.

Just some "Fish Tales" about the National Bird, the American Bald Eagle.
