But don't take our word for it. Get familiar with the national standard in heat pump efficiency ratings for summer and winter — The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).

🌞 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) measures how efficiently a heat pump cools your home over an entire cooling season. The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient the unit is.

❄️ HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) measures how efficiently the heat pump heats your home over the winter season.

Think of SEER like your car’s miles per gallon (MPG) 🛻 — more SEER = less electricity used. And know that a higher HSPF = better cold-weather performance and lower energy bills 💰 .

Following so far? Well then you're on the right path to making an educated decision when it's time to get rid of your current heating system and replace it with perfectly designed/sized heat pump.
