Supremely happy with this centipede and somebody might have to fight me for him π especially after the last round of worm mugs, brown glazes have just been β¨οΈdoing itβ¨οΈ for me π» i'm still on a creepy crawly buggy kick, tell me about your favorite insects maybe? π₯Ί

Worms! I love how these turned out, I tried a few different background glazes to get the right worm in dirt look that I was after and they each turned out so special in their own way!! I just know I'm gonna be making more of these in the future... which worm is winning you over? πͺ±πͺ±πͺ±π»β¨οΈ

First couple centipede pieces are a success, and I can't wait to make more. Theyre definitely a bit more finicky to make compared to my other sprig mold pieces with all those legs, but so worth the extra work! Find them Saturday at for the Foothills Art Market along with a bunch of other new goodies πβ¨οΈ
Hey so with plenty of procrastination behind me now, I can say the site is finally up!! It's been a long time coming and I'm excited to offer more to y'all that cant make it to my in person events... many pieces still one of a kind, and whats included in updates will be dictated by what you want to see there. So if there's anything you'd like to see in a future update, let me know! π

Thinking about all the spikes I made over the last couple months, should I do another round? π€ at the very least I think some spiked cauldrons are in order...

It's been a minute since I've done a glaze appreciation post π₯° Ive had some real magic come out of the kiln as of late and it's been really rewarding... it's one thing to throw a beautiful vessel and have all the shapes be just right, its another to finally pull it hot out of the kiln in all its glazed glory. All the risks and experimentation of layering and mixing different glazes pays off, sometimes it does exactly as you'd hoped and other times not (but sometimes turning out better!)

Chains, chains and more chains, baybeeee! A strangle little collection, but making these little links briefly took over my life π each link was slipcast and then carefully assembled. Im still enamored with the rainbow links, despite reminding me of some kind of medieval playmobil vibes πΉ Anyways, you can catch these this weekend at Winter Knights for t!ckets to see armored combat and jousting... just a few of my favorite things π

Making spiky things has just been feeling right this month, and I've finally been able to run the kiln and get some of these new goblets over the finish line in preparation for Winter Knights here in Cheyenne. It's been one of the few truly local events I have vended at and has quickly become one of my faves π€ so dont forget to check out and pick up your t!ckets for a fab medieval Valentine's weekend βοΈβ¨οΈ

When I started up pottery nearly 6 years ago now, I didnt know it would also lead me to be a rudimentary screen printer. I started out using commercially available underglaze transfers but eventually got to the point where I wanted to use my own images, something no one else had... which led me to figure out how to stretch screen and coat with photopolymer, a lot of trial and error with exposure times using the sun, and spending a lot of time with a heat gun to dry underglazes to the perfect thick consistency for the screen printing process (I def never like using CMC gum or "silk screen medium" to thicken the underglaze, it never gave me the results I wanted). printing inks have eliminated that last step for me thankfully, as they come at a nearly perfect consistency and I can print more with better quality than previously.
Anyway, I'm keeping myself busy despite the current climate, printing enough transfers to keep me supplied for the next handful of shows over the next few months. Stay safe y'all β¨οΈ

So yesterday I sprained my ankle pretty badly walking into an O'Reilly's so thats just really great as a 35 year old adult person π₯² but good thing that ain't stopping these hands from throwing new stuff for y'all πͺ I cant wait to get this baby fired, i think ill be leaving it primarily bare except for a liner glaze, as the cauldron is a beautiful deep red clay and the chains should darken to near black π»
