We have big news for our Colorado mountain real estate partners!
Beginning June 22, 2026, Alpine Building Performance will officially begin serving Eagle and Summit Counties, including communities like Vail, Avon, Edwards, Eagle, Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne, Keystone, and surrounding mountain markets.
We know mountain properties come with their own set of inspection concerns like roof performance, snow load and drainage, moisture intrusion, radon, well performance, water quality, mold and indoor air quality, sewer and septic considerations, combustion safety and second-home maintenance issues.
Our goal is simple: help agents, buyers, sellers, and property owners make better decisions with clear, practical, building-science-based inspections.
If you work in Eagle or Summit County, follow along. We’ll be sharing inspection tips, mountain home insights, common issues we see in high-country properties, and updates as we expand into the area.

It was a pleasure and an honor to teach at this year’s Colorado Association of REALTORS® Spring Conference. Opportunities like this are always rewarding because they allow us to share practical inspection knowledge and help agents strengthen their understanding of homes, building systems, and risk evaluation.
What made this event especially meaningful was the chance to connect with REALTORS® from across Colorado, hear the questions they’re encountering in the field, and have conversations about the challenges facing today’s buyers and sellers. The more we can bridge the gap between building science and real estate, the better equipped everyone is to serve their clients with confidence.
Thank you to CAR for the opportunity and to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion.

A great inspection is about more than finding issues.
One of the most valuable parts of the process is helping clients understand what the findings actually mean. We often see buyers gain confidence once they have clear context around a home's condition and next steps.
We appreciate Delia's kind words and the opportunity to help make the home buying process a little clearer.
It was a pleasure spending time with the team at and talking through spring home maintenance tips and the small issues homeowners often overlook after a Colorado winter.
One thing we discussed is how quickly minor exterior defects can turn into larger problems this time of year. Loose flashing, clogged downspouts, failed caulking, and poor drainage tend to stay hidden until spring moisture expose them. Most costly home issues do not start as major failures. They usually begin a small maintenance items that went unnoticed for too long.
These conversations are always a good reminder that informed homeowners make better long-term decisions about their homes. Grateful for the opportunity to share practical insight from the field and represent the work we do every day at Alpine Building Performance.
Well this is a first. Fortunately power was shut off to the property. Everyday of inspecting brings something new.

Great client service usually shows up in the small moments during an inspection.
Taking the time to answer questions on site, explaining what’s actually important versus what just looks concerning, and making sure clients feel comfortable with what they’re seeing. Homes can be overwhelming, especially during a transaction, and clear communication makes a noticeable difference.
A thorough inspection is expected. Being reliable, responsive, and steady from start to finish is what turns the experience into something clients can genuinely trust.

Most agents don’t have time to dig through every detail of a home before a showing or offer. That’s usually when the inspection becomes the first real look at what’s going on behind the scenes.
Alpine Intelligence makes that process a lot easier, and it's FREE.
With just a few property details, it translates MLS data into likely inspection findings so you can quickly understand what may come up. No deep dive required. No guesswork. Just practical insight you can use right away. For agents, that means walking into conversations more prepared, setting better expectations with clients, and avoiding surprises later in the deal.

Going above and beyond for clients often comes down to the details most people never see.
Water damage concerns are a good example. It’s not just about noting a stain or a past repair. It’s about taking the extra time to trace potential sources, evaluate how the system is performing, and confirm that everything was installed correctly in the first place.
That level of attention is where small issues get caught before they become expensive ones, especially in areas like piping, drainage, and concealed spaces. For clients, that deeper look is what turns an inspection into real peace of mind.

Thorough inspections aren’t just about documenting what’s visible. They’re about understanding what matters.
In the Denver market, homes often have a mix of updates, aging components, and quick repairs done over time. It’s common to see newer finishes sitting on top of older systems, and knowing where to look deeper makes all the difference.
A well done inspection should prioritize findings, explain real world impact, gives clients a clear path forward and provides a list of vetted contractors to use to solve those issues. Alpine Building Performance checks all of those boxes.
That level of clarity is what helps agents guide their clients with confidence, especially in a fast moving market like Denver.

Every home has a history. Some just tell it a little louder.
From early 1900s construction to newer builds, each era comes with its own patterns, materials, and common issues. Knowing what to expect in a 1920s home versus a 2000s home can completely change how an inspection is understood. Our inspectors are trained to know these differences by heart so that we can get to the heart of the issue on each inspection we perform.
