The enemy doesn't need you to sin first. He just needs you to doubt.⁣

Doubt that God is good. Doubt that He meant what He said. Doubt that you're really who He calls you — beloved, chosen, held.⁣
⁣
That's the oldest trick in the book, and some of us are still fighting that same whisper today, whether it came from a hard childhood, a broken relationship, or just years of life beating on that root.⁣

But your identity was never up for debate. You are His. Full stop.⁣
⁣

real talk — most of what we call “sin” starts way before the actual act. it starts in a moment of doubt. a whisper that says “is God really who He said He is?”⁣

that suspicion is the root. distrust grows quiet, then it grows loud, then it grows into disobedience. it’s been happening since the garden.⁣
⁣
but here’s what we know — God has never given us a reason to doubt His goodness. He’s still writing redemption into broken things, still calling us to love our neighbor and fight for what’s right in a world that needs both hope and action.⁣

You ever try to run from something and end up having to explain yourself to complete strangers? That's Jonah's whole moment right here.⁣

The storm got everybody's attention, but it was his testimony that got everybody shook. "I worship the Lord, the God of heaven who made the sea and dry land." One sentence and suddenly the room got quiet.⁣
⁣
Sometimes our reach exceeds our own understanding of it. What we carry matters, even when we're running from it.⁣
⁣

Jonah thought running was the same thing as hiding.⁣
⁣
He paid a fare, hopped on a boat, and went straight to sleep while the storm he caused was rocking everybody else’s boat too.⁣
⁣
Sound familiar? We run from what God’s calling us to do and think it only affects us. It never does.⁣
⁣
