Confronting the painful truths in the Epstein Files can be incredibly challenging. Our Executive Director explores why that might be and urges us to reflect on how we respond when someone shares their story with us. We must believe all survivors.
We know this video is long but please stay with us. Share it out. We have to keep this narrative going
Our journey toward finding our voice and understanding how our story shapes us looks different for everyone. But one common thread is how we choose to show up for someone when they break their silence.
Through vulnerability, heart, and profound courage, guides us in this episode — and in her book Unearthed: The Lies We Carry & The Truths They Bury — toward a deeper knowing of ourselves and others.
As you listen, we invite you to reflect:
💬 What does it mean to offer someone the words: “I believe you”?
💬 How do we move from being alone with our story to being supported in it?
💬 If a friend told you they were ready to speak, what would you say to show you’re ready to listen?

We believe that prevention starts with YOU. If you are a safe space. If you carry empathy everywhere you go. Or check in with the narrative you are telling yourself. Or help re-direct someone in a hard moment. Then you help build cycles of support, of understanding, of connection. That is prevention in action.

One way you can start practicing violence prevention is through C.H.E.E.R kindly. We have all been to a sporting event or competition where the fans lean more into frustration than support. This is a stuck action. In order to move through and onto something better we have to be willing to demonstrate proactive action. Star the wave. Cheer louder in support of your player. Encourage others to do that same. Boo-ing at a ref only keeps us in that hard moment. Cheering your team on, allows us to achieve the desired outcome: Winning.
