We’re Hiring: Line Cook at Osage Café 👨‍🍳

Osage Café is looking for a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join the team!

If you have experience in a professional kitchen, take pride in quality food, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you.

This role plays a key part in preparing and plating menu items, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and helping create a welcoming experience for every guest.

What you’ll bring:
• Kitchen or food service experience
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety standards
• Ability to stay organized and adaptable

Weekday schedule with some weekends required.

This week in the Osage Kitchen, our culinary students finally got to dive into Vietnamese-inspired cooking. From cinnamon sticks and star anise to ginger and cloves, students explored new flavors while learning how to balance salty, savory, and bright elements.

Using a quick, budget-friendly method, they torched aromatics and built a flavorful broth in just an hour. A perfect blend of culture, learning, and hands-on experience.

From alligator to shrimp to delicate crepes, our Culinary Academy students have been cooking up an incredible variety of dishes this summer at Osage Kitchen! Over six weeks, they learned knife safety, food prep, teamwork, and the essentials of food safety in a professional kitchen setting.

Two of our outstanding students, Skielar (18) and Tiler (17), not only graduated the academy but also earned their ServSafe Certification, proving their skills in safe food handling and sanitation. This fall, they’re taking the next step with paid internships, Skielar at Osage Café & Mercado and Tiler at Decatur Fresh, where they’ll continue exploring careers in culinary, retail, and customer service.

Last month, our Osage Café interns took a behind-the-scenes field trip to Coors Field, and it was a home run!

They got a firsthand look at the custodial side of food services and even had the chance to chat with one of the Rockies’ chefs about what it takes to run food operations at a major stadium. From the kitchen to the field, it was an inspiring glimpse into the many career paths within culinary and hospitality.
