π Hey Parents, Did You Know? π
Many Colorado parents and family members may qualify to get paid for caring for their child with special needs or medical needs.
That's right.
If you're already providing daily care, support, supervision, personal care, or assistance with medical needs, there may be programs available that recognize the important work you're already doing.
Every family's situation is different, but qualifying caregivers may be able to receive compensation while continuing to provide care in the comfort of their own home.
At All for Kids Home Health, we're passionate about helping families understand their options and navigate the resources available to them.
β¨ Have questions?
β¨ Not sure if you qualify?
β¨ Wondering where to start?
We're here to help.
π Reach out to our team to learn more about available programs and services.
Because no one knows your child better than you. π

π June is Men's Mental Health Month π
Special needs dads are often the quiet caregivers.
They're driving to appointments.
Working long hours.
Advocating for their children.
Supporting their families.
And carrying worries that few people ever see.
Too often, we talk about the mental health of caregivers without acknowledging fathers.
The reality is that dads experience stress, burnout, anxiety, grief, and emotional exhaustion too.
Checking in isn't weakness.
Asking for support isn't weakness.
Taking care of your mental health isn't weakness.
To all the fathers, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures in our AFK community:
We see you.
We appreciate you.
And your well-being matters too. π
π More than a picnic. More than an event. π
This weekend, we had the privilege of being part of the Feel the Beat Family Picnic hosted by Levi's Legacy and HeartWorks.
As we watched children laugh, families connect, and communities come together, we were reminded of something powerful:
No family should have to walk their journey alone.
Levi's Legacy was created from one family's love for their son, Levi, and has grown into a community dedicated to supporting families facing congenital heart defects through connection, resources, advocacy, and hope. Their mission is to help families weather the storm and find the sunshine on the other side. π
At AFK, we see firsthand how important community is for families navigating medical complexities, disabilities, and special needs. Events like this create more than memoriesβthey create belonging.
Thank you to Levi's Legacy, HeartWorks, the volunteers, sponsors, and every family who joined us for a day filled with joy, support, and connection.
Together, we are stronger. Levi's Legacy

πΆπ Your Baby at 4 Months
Every baby develops at their own pace, but around 4 months old, many babies begin reaching exciting new milestones!
You may notice your little one:
β¨ Holding their head up with more control
β¨ Rolling from tummy to back
β¨ Smiling to get your attention
β¨ Babbling and cooing more often
β¨ Recognizing familiar faces and voices
β¨ Reaching for toys and exploring their hands and feet
Swipe through to learn more about common developmental milestones, activities to encourage growth, and toy ideas that can support learning and development.
Remember: milestones are guidelines, not deadlines. Every child develops differently, and if you ever have concerns about your child's development, talk with your pediatrician.

πΆπ Everyone deserves the chance to experience the magic of live music.
That's why we love organizations like Sensory Check, they are creating inclusive concert experiences for individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, and other disabilities.
Join Sensory Check at Red Rocks Amphitheater for a special sensory-friendly experience featuring Big Head Todd & The Monsters. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy live music in a welcoming environment designed with accessibility and inclusion in mind.
For many families, attending a concert can feel overwhelming or out of reach. Programs like Sensory Check help make these experiences possible by creating a space where individuals can enjoy music, community, and connection while feeling supported.
π Because inclusion means everyone deserves a seat at the show.

π Real Families. Real Stories.
Special needs parenting requires a kind of strength most people never fully see.
In this story, Krystle shares how finding support through AFK helped her feel less alone β and gave her strength during some of the hardest moments of their familyβs journey.
Because caring for a child means supporting the whole family, too.
At AFK, thatβs what we believe care should look like. π
