MISSION
The Denver Tool Library is a non-profit that provides the Denver metro area with low-cost access to tools and the know-how to use them, all in a safe and supportive environment. We aim to remove barriers to tool access, including high cost, space, knowledge, inhibition, and discrimination, so that everyone can have the resources they need to make and maintain the lives they imagine. denvertoollibrary.org
TOOL LENDING LIBRARY
It's like a book library, but for tools! $150 gets you a year’s worth of access to over 5,000 hand and power tools to borrow for home repair/renovation, lawn & garden, woodworking, metalworking, carpentry, arts & crafts, and much more. denvertoollibrary.org/tool-library

Join us at the Denver Tool Library for our first-ever Halloween Gala on Friday, October 23rd from 6-10pm!
We’ll be having a power tool pumpkin carving contest alongside plenty of other spooky activities, including block printing, tarot reading, live performances, and more.
100% of ticket sales go right back to the Denver Tool Library to help us build out our community programming and tool offerings for 2027.

We’ve got a brand new woodworking class! Kumiko Tea Boxes w/ David Shih. First class will be Sunday, October 11th - hope to see you there!
Learn the art of kumiko while building your own custom wooden tea box. This hands-on class covers the full build process, from cutting miters and routing grooves with shop power tools, to chiseling and assembling small wood pieces into an intricate geometric lattice that holds together without nails or glue. You’ll leave with a functional, display-worthy box of Japanese-inspired craftsmanship. Join this supportive beginner-friendly workshop, expand your handy DIY skillset, and connect with a community of fellow makers!

The Tool Lending Library will close an hour early at 1pm on Sunday, Sept 27th for our Repair Fair.
Repair Fairs are free events where community members can bring broken everyday items, such as toasters, bicycles, pants, and more, for free repairs by local volunteer fixers. These fairs offer a chance to learn valuable repair skills, reduce waste, and connect with your neighbors. No repair experience is required as our volunteers will guide you through fixing the items you bring in (limit two items per person please!).

🍕What are First Fridays at the Denver Tool Library?
On some first Friday's of each month, the Denver Tool Library opens its doors as part of the Santa Fe Arts District Art Walk. These gatherings have different activates and are typically free (or by donation if there are materials that needed to be purchased). These events are open to everyone (no membership required) and are an easy way to check out our space, learn about our programs, and build community.

This last First Friday’s Block Printing party was super fun! A ton of y’all showed up and made some dang cute prints. Many thanks to all the volunteers and tool librarians that helped at the event and made blocks.

We’re doing things a bit differently this month! Drew will be showing us how to make ricotta cheese. There will be plenty of time for Q&A and, of course, cheese tasting (gluten-free options available). Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided!

Are you working on a home improvement project you want to share? Did you teach yourself something new? Do you know how to change your car’s oil, mend clothes, or build things and want to share your knowledge?
We’re looking for folks to give a short demo or presentation (~10 minutes) at our upcoming skill shares later in 2026 and in 2027. We have such a talented community and love getting inspired by what you make!
