Crispy Baked Chicken Wings with Orange Saffron Sticky Sauce
The hubby's favorite wing flavor. These are inspired by a Gelato flavor in Italy.
Crispy, crunchy, and oven baked chicken wings tossed in a sticky orange saffron sauce with sriracha, honey & soy.
Sweet, spicy, savory & no deep frying needed.

I'm a girl who loves flowers but totally will take a bouquet like this one with just as much joy.
Fresh mint from the farmers market this morning destined to become part of a spring soup and topping for a cheesecake with goat cheese and spring strawberries.
Heaven in earth.
What's on your menu this weekend?

We just mixed in the simple syrup for the next batch of limoncello.
The lemon peel has been vodka 3 months. Now we'll she it mixed for at least another month.
It's so easy to make at home.

Grew up eating deviled eggs with that grey-green ring around the yolk.
Didn't know any better. Ate them anyway because I loved them that much.
Then I learned the residual heat method — bring to a boil, lid on, burner OFF, timer set — and I've never had a green yolk since.
The trick is stopping the cooking the moment the timer goes off. Cold water or ice bath, immediately.
Full timing guide on the blog (sea level AND high altitude, because altitude matters more than most recipes tell you).

The best kitchen discoveries come from improvising.
One day I ran out of fresh dill and grabbed the pickle jar instead. Added a splash of juice to the yolk filling, mostly for flavor.
What I didn't expect? The texture. That pickle juice — whipped in — made the filling go fluffy. Smooth and light and beautiful.
Now I'll never make deviled eggs without it.
These Dill Pickle Deviled Eggs also get Greek yogurt in the mix, which makes them creamier and boosts protein. Perfect for Easter, perfect for potlucks, perfect for eating three at a time while standing at the kitchen counter.

Portugal's canned fish culture is next level. 🇵🇹✨
Not sad, dusty tins... beautiful jars of tuna and sardines in olive oil, lined up like jewels.
Some dating back to the 1850s when the canning industry became Portugal's gold.
These tuna fish cakes are my love letter to that culture.
Mixing quality canned fish with chickpeas, fennel, fresh herbs, and a hint of nutmeg creates something legitimately delicious.
22-25g protein per cake.
Freezes beautifully.
Perfect with garlicky tzatziki.
We batch cook them every few weeks. Future-us is always grateful.
This Portuguese-inspired tuna fish cake recipe is perfect for batch cooking and meal prep.
Serve on greens like arugula or in a bun with green leaf lettuce.

When you're craving fish tacos but it's Tuesday and you're exhausted... 🙃
Enter... crispy fish stick tacos.
Hear me out! Quality fish sticks (the kind with actual fish) baked crispy, piled on corn tortillas with fennel apple slaw and sriracha aioli.
30 minutes. Zero deep frying. All the satisfaction.
We keep a bag of fish sticks in the freezer specifically for this. It's our go-to when we want that San Diego taco shack vibe without leaving the house.
This fish taco recipe is the weeknight dinner shortcut that actually works.

My mom's guilty pleasure was the BK chicken sandwich. That long, breaded patty on a soft bun with mayo and lettuce.
Now I crave them when I'm stressed too.
But ultra-processed fast food with mystery ingredients?
Not on our menu these days.
So I cracked the code to making them at home: thinly sliced chicken breast, crushed cornflakes, and all the nostalgia without the guilt.
The bonus? I actually know what's in it. And I can add as much lettuce as I want. 😂
This crispy chicken sandwich recipe delivers all the nostalgia with none of the guilt.

I've finally perfected my black bean burger recipe.
It's got a beautiful texture and amazing flavor.
Keep an eye out on the blog for the recipe coming soon.
In the meantime, here's my recipe for Cheeseburgers with Raspberry Bacon Jam to keep the burger lovers following me happy.
This bacon jam is WORTH the effort.
But then again, isn't everything with bacon on or in it, worth it?

Woohoo! I got to help the local dog shelter this weekend, with this lovely find of a pasta maker at their spring sale.
Fresh made pasta recipes will be on the menu soon enough.
I also found some beautiful casserole dishes and some other lovely finds for the kitchen.
Can wait to use them all.
