Kiefer is an American pianist, producer, and composer whose music bridges modern jazz, hip-hop production, and expressive solo piano traditions.

His work has earned the rare distinction of being signed to both Stones Throw Records and Blue Note Records, two of the most influential labels in hip-hop and jazz, signaling his legitimacy and impact in both scenes. A Grammy Award–winning producer for his contributions to Malibu by Anderson .Paak, he has collaborated with artists including Dr. Dre, Kaytranada, De La Soul, Pete Rock, Terrace Martin, Kenny Beats, Walter Smith III, and Nate Smith. Drawing from influences ranging from Herbie Hancock to Los Angeles beat-makers like Madlib, Kiefer’s music balances technical sophistication with emotional immediacy, pairing lush harmony with minimalist, hypnotic grooves. New music is on the way later this year from him.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Michael Franks' seminal album, The Art of Tea, with an evening of California cool. We’ll journey through the velvety landscapes of Franks' music, exploring his unique blend of jazz and pop, quirky poetic lyrics, and musings on the profound subtleties of love.

This performance offers a vibrant tribute to The Art of Tea in its entirety, paired with other cherished favorites from Franks’ career.

Amy Biondo is a Boulder-area vocalist, composer, and mentor with over 20 years of experience in the Colorado music scene. An artist whose work lives at the intersection of jazz sophistication and pop accessibility, Amy is celebrated for her talent for finding the hidden emotional pulse of a song and delivering it with nuanced precision and heart. Her rich, playful vocals and compelling storytelling provide the perfect contemporary mirror to the effortless elegance of Franks’ work.

Joining the ensemble is special guest Charles Blenzig, Michael Franks’ musical director since 1990. Charles has toured the globe with Franks, recorded on several albums, co-wrote title tracks including Barefoot On The Beach and Rendezvous in Rio, and arranged an evening of Franks’ music for the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. He brings a deep-rooted connection and unparalleled artistry to this music.

ThreeShots hails from Fort Collins, CO, with a heart of gritty, roadhouse blues mixed with a wide array of RnB, funk, swing, roots, and good old-fashioned rock and roll. The result is a 5-piece band that keeps you moving with an all-American blues-rock sound that feels familiar but fresh, holding respect for the storied history of the blues but never afraid to take it to new places.

A Northern Colorado institution, ThreeShots has been playing bars, backyards, breweries, and big stages across the northern Front Range for over a decade. ThreeShots is a staple at venues like Avogadro's Number, Thunder Mountain, Nissi's, The Foundry, & The Magic Rat. In 2023, ThreeShots reached quarter finals in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, and was chosen to open the Greeley Blues Jam.

Denver-based guitarist, composer, and educator Aaron Summerfield presents Summer Circle, a new instrumental song cycle blending a unique harmonic and melodic concept with elements of alternative blues. A fixture in the local creative music community for over a decade, Summerfield brings together a standout ensemble of Denver musicians on saxophone, fretless bass, and drums, with expanded textures from violin and keys.

The music balances compelling thematic material with a fluid, ensemble-driven approach. Each piece unfolds to gradually reveal a larger structural arc, resulting in music that is immersive, cinematic, and deeply personal.

Rooted in Denver’s vibrant and evolving music scene, Summer Circle reflects a subtle undercurrent of modern spiritual and philosophical inquiry, expressed abstractly through sound rather than words.
