Flourish Farms is a family owned urban farm growing fish and produce using Aquaponics, the raising of fish and plants in recirculating systems
Our fish and produce are naturally raised without the use of chemicals. We raise Tilapia, Trout, Koi and other aquatic species, and by recirculating their nutrient rich water through deep water culture beds or vertical towers, we simultaneously grow abundant amounts of produce, herbs and edible flowers. The power goes out for four to six hours in the early am tomorrow so the building can get a new backup generator!
Therefore no feed today for tilapia to keep ammonia levels down during the outage. Temp is low at 66 and pH 6.6 so that will also help. No water circulation happening during this time but aerator will be on portable backup generator.
