๐จ Last Week, healthcare workers and state employees rallied outside the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment part of a national week of action demanding that elected officials put healthcare first!
Any cuts to medicaid will cost lives and the damage hasn't fully landed yet.

๐จ Last year congress passed $1 trillion in healthcare cuts putting 15 million people at risk of losing coverage and causing an estimated 51,000 preventable deaths every year. The full impact hasn't even hit yet. And now they want $1.5 trillion more for war.
That's why SEIU Colorado is taking action today, joining thousands across the country to demand that our local, state, and federal officials answer for where they stand on protecting healthcare for working families.

Last week, Colorado care workers joined people from across the country in DC with one simple message: HEALTHCARE, NOT HATE!
When Medicaid gets cut, clients wait and workers suffer. Our most vulnerable community members can't access the care they need, and the workers who show up for them every day are stretched to the breaking point. Meanwhile, our leaders in Congress keep finding money for war and ICE enforcement.
Call your rep today and demand they fund care, not cruelty!

For too long, corporate landlords and real estate developers have blocked efforts to lift the statewide ban on the local rent stabilization policies that our communities need.
We're joining Colorado Homes for All by sending a message to those running to be our next governor: It's time to stand with the people and prioritize solutions - like local rent stabilization - that keep us in our homes.

๐งนโ This weekend, Colorado's Janitors came together to plan, strategize, and build the power it takes to make real change.
As we gear up for the 40th Anniversary of Justice for Janitors, thousands of workers across Colorado are standing UNITED because our cities don't run without us, and we're tired of doing the work while only those at the top reap the rewards.
We are fighting for a Denver where the people who keep the lights on and the floors clean can afford to live, thrive, and raise their families with dignity!

We are still reeling from Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions Union Delegate Conference where we sat alongside our coalition partners as a key voice in shaping how we grow our power for Kaiser Permanente workers in Colorado and across the country.
We're taking every idea, every commitment, every spark of momentum from UDC and bringing it back to where change actually happens: our clinics and our frontline staff.
This is how movements grow. Connection becomes action, action becomes wins, and wins become the foundation for the next fight.
We're just getting started. ๐ฅ

๐ฅ DENVER IS READY ๐ฅ
Our President, Stephanie Felix-Sowy, joined Mayor Mike Johnston , Governor Jared Polis, Colorado Democratic Party chair Shad Murib, and DNC Chair, Ken Martin this week for a site visit as Denver makes its case to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention.
We are living through a coordinated attack on worker power. But in Denver, we know the answer is not fear or silence. The answer is to organize, fight, and win.
A Denver DNC would put working people at the center of the national conversation and show this country that worker power IS democracy in action.
