The Memory Parlor "The Memory Parlor" is where we pull up a chair with people in their 80s, 90s, and beyond to hear the moments that shaped their lives. From first loves to hilarious mishaps, these conversations are warm, funny, and deeply human—reminding us we all have a story worth telling!

Today feels like Christmas.... To explain why, I have to back it up to when I was about 10 years old...

That's when I fell in love with Billy idol! I used to peruse every "Bop" and "Tiger Beat" magazine in the hopes I'd find a Billy Idol picture to rip out to adorn my bedroom wall! I listened to his music on repeat constantly, and knew every word by heart and even tried to perfect his trademark sneer!

I specifically remember going to the record store with my stepfather at the time, and buying the large poster of the picture that you see above and that was front and center in the middle of my wall as a pr***en!

I not only loved his music, and his vibe, but I was enamored with his beautiful face! How could something be so rock and rough yet so pretty? It explains so much today! LOL

I even got to see him in concert, in 1985, in New York, on his 'Rebel Yell' tour!! And then when I met my childhood friend Julie when I was 13 (we're still friends to this day), we shared a mutual love of Billy Idol!....A memory that we still reflect on? I used to mimic something he said in an interview, in his groveling British accent that would crack her up: "My name is Idol because, that's the name I've given myself"

Fast forward to 2025, and today is the day that I not only get to meet Billy Idol in person, but I have the rare opportunity to sit down and interview him for MIX 100

To say that I'm honored, ecstatic, overjoyed, giddy, radiant, excited, thrilled and speechless, would be an understatement. I'm going to try my best to not get teary-eyed, but I can't make any guarantees!

I do need to work on the speechless part though because I actually have to talk to him!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Johnny, Ernesto, Alvi, and the rest of the boys from the "Boot Camp" party at Trade last night!

I don't get to play the music that truly moves me very often, but when I'm allowed the creative freedom to do so, my heart is always fulfilled!

Mama is tired today because I danced right along with you from 9:00 p.m. until 1:45 a.m.

Thank you each and everyone of you for embracing my sound and staying with me all the way until you had to be ushered out!

Also thank you to Chris, Craig and the entire crew at Trade for always working so hard and always stepping it up a notch to provide a space that is welcoming, inclusive, and on point with the decor and vibe to ensure a good time is had by all!!

Grateful.

What a way to cap off my birthday weekend!!!!

To say that I was a Heart fan, would be an understatement! I first fell in love with the group, along with my childhood best friend Danielle, back when I was 10 years old and she was 11! Not only am I still friends with Danielle to this day, I am also still a heart fan!

I lost track, but this was either the 6th or 7th time that I've seen heart live starting back in 1984 or 1987.

Seeing them now that Anne is 75 years old and Nancy is 70, brings a whole new depth of appreciation. They still sounded and looked incredible!!!

I started tearing up even before they came out, and basically cried the entire show! Taking in the fact that I got to see them way back in the 80s in their prime, and knowing all the health issues that Ann has had recently, I wanted to soak in every last second knowing that the possibility exists that could have been the last time I ever saw or heard Ann on stage again!!

I'm so grateful to my love Virlena, for all the magical spoiling that happened for me this weekend celebrating my birthday!

And I'm also so grateful to Ann and Nancy Wilson for 42 years worth of memories and music! And also, thank you to Red Rocks for being the greatest place on Earth to see a show!

Flat Kelly went on an adventure to Ft Worth Texas this past weekend, to see the incredible play "Shucked" - a great time was had by all!
