Campsite #10. I hadn’t done the scenic drive to Telluride in 7 years, since my first year living in Colorado, and being on that stretch of road again reignited in me an appreciation for this state that had recently been waning. This campsite was not our initial destination, but as we pulled in, the full moon greeted us for only a moment and took my breath away before I could capture it in a photograph. It rained and rained, but each and every morning the aspens filtered the sun’s rays into something poetic, and the columbine heads stood up straight, their tiny mouths whispering to me: “there’s so much to love here.”

this babe, living up to her middle name (marie, meaning “star of the sea”), plunged into these icy pacific waters while the rest of us dipped our toes in.

farm tours are infinitely more fun when given by a favorite 9-year-old.

Taking a hiatus from all social media to prioritize joy, creativity, and presence to the life that’s right in front of me. See ya out there! 👆🏼
