I’ve been producing community events and exhibitions for over a decade here in Denver. From blacking out windows in old buildings to showcase new media art, to swapping an entire art collection in a mountain mansion in order to install a food based collaboration, to staging an opera on the roof of our city’s museum, I do things DIY and I do things with huge community support, and a lot of long days and nights. Events like Hear, Here. are driven by passion, small budgets, and spending most of the money to support the artists involved.

I think this crowdsourced video documentation feels right, I hope you enjoy some of the sounds you either experienced or you missed. Hope you make it next time 😉 and if you happen to have a lot of money and want to pour it into someone who will produce a magical evening, I’m your guy.

Stills from a new film created in collaboration with who formed a soundscape to underscore the projected video. The work is called ‘Consume Me’ and is a small nod to Alice in Wonderland, a sort of visual feast that overlays macro and micro, a stretching of perception and an obscuring of the obvious. ✨Nod to for the sparkles from the Mediterranean Sea ✨

To Offer/To Leave, aesthetically and thematically inspired by the tales of Shakespeare’s character Ophelia and Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, showcases a moment in time after a decision of withdrawal has been made. By interweaving a selection of works from artists such as Daphne Sweet, Lindsay Smith Gustave, Drew Austin, Arthur Williams, Agnes Ma, and Robin Gammons; the exhibition incites a romantic fever dream that honors a shared melancholy. Through the thoughtful inclusion of light, sound, and aromatic sculpture the viewer plays witness to the tale before them within a space contemplation.
Opening Feb 22nd!

As I reflect back on my year I keep running into a central theme that uplifted me the most, supported me holistically, and helped me peel back more and more layers of myself: women/ladies/they-dies/womxn
….
The pure strength exuded from my network of mothers and doers and creators and witches and magic fairy humans has grounded me and taken me so many levels higher in my personal being this year.
….
So so so grateful to all of the ladies in my life, those above in photos and those not who spent time with me and shared space with me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
