✨ Client Spotlight: Making a Ripple
Sara B. Hart's book "The Upside of Downsizing" exemplifies the profound impact of storytelling. Her readers say that it feels like Sara is a personal guide, walking them through their own challenges. This level of connection and resonance is a powerful testament to the power of authentic expression.
It’s a reminder that true influence often stems from shared human experience.

✨What if there’s more… even after devastating loss?

Adele Marshall’s new book, What If There’s More?, is a deeply personal story of grief, identity, and rediscovery.

It’s heartbreaking. And unexpectedly inspiring.

Writing about the loss of her daughter, Taryn, was not easy. It was the kind of work that asks you to walk straight into heartbreak and come back carrying hope for others.

This book is deeply personal. And deeply generous.

Adele shares her grief. But that's not the full story. She also shares her rediscovery, her questions, her ongoing lessons. Moments of humor and light keep her going. Through Adele's reflections and insights we remember that love doesn’t end and meaning pops up in unexpected moments.

As you read, you'll probably cry (I did). But you'll also laugh and see yourself or someone you love in this story.

I’m so proud of Adele for doing the difficult, beautiful work of turning her pain into a catalyst of comfort and hope for others.

This is what courageous storytelling looks like.

💚 This made my day:
"You have been an amazing teacher about how important story can be. It really helps us connect to and learn from one another. I was sooooo reluctant to share any personal story in my book. Thanks for helping me change my mind!"
-Lynette Reiling, author of Your Encore Life

Thank you, Lynette, for making a positive impact on so many lives!

✨ 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹. 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 because of the experience you create for them. Your inner circle knows your story, but you don't share it widely. You might think it's too much, it's too big. You tell yourself it's too painful or too weird or too woo.

How do I know this? 😉

Ok, I'm busted. Even though I prompt people to tell their stories all the time, I might still be hiding some of mine.
While I'll never tell you to share ALL your stories, some are more important than others.
The one that shows people the real you, the birth of your passion for what you do and what you want for them is what I call your Impact Story.

I've shared my Impact Story about my connection to gratitude and another one about why I believe so much in transformation.

But the one I'm not telling yet goes deeper, to the heart of my spirituality. And that feels scary and vulnerable. Why? I've never heard a story like mine. And because a small part of me is afraid not everyone will get it.

But here's the bigger truth about my stories and yours. Our stories attract the people who do get us because they can see we get them. For our "soulmate" people, the stories we tell are their stories too.

That's the magic of story. 𝘐𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 draws 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 to connect.

I'm getting ready to share my deeper story.

In this next season of awakening and impact, is it time to share yours too?

✨ 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱...

Oh, this quote! Do you feel it? That not-so-subtle gut punch that Ms. Brown delivers so well?
She sees right through this behavior that's so human. Who doesn't avoid difficult feelings? And why do we do it?
Because we think they might kill us. At least we suspect they might. (Spoiler alert: they don't.)

This is why 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 to sit with those feelings and ask them to talk to us.
It's a required practice for those of us who want to share vulnerable stories. We need to work through the difficult emotions and find the gem of transformation inside first. That's when a previously painful story becomes a valuable gift.

✨ Mirror or Disco Ball:
One epic transformation or a hundred shimmering moments of truth?

Maybe your vision is like mine: you want to make a HUGE impact on people, a big difference, a legacy of transformation. You want to create a giant mirror through your story, so big it has a life-changing breakthrough that changes everything.

But lasting change usually happens through small, relatable stories, like tiny mirrors that glimmer with a taste of our greatness. The next story builds on that one, and so on. It's cumulative, it's nonlinear, with little bits of life change glued on at every angle.

As storytellers, this incremental expansion reflects our own evolution. It comes from unexpected angles at odd times, guiding us to become who we are at our core. You craft your disco ball of insight and wisdom, hundreds of opportunities to mirror your readers' own beauty and power.

What's a story you share to spark transformation?

✨ Ever think about the power of your story to help people?

If you've had an experience like the one I share in the video, you know how humbling it is to know your story has changed even one life.

That's the power of story.

How do you share your?

If you are sharing your story (or some parts of it), I'd love to know who you share it with (friends, family, clients, staff, etc.)

And if you aren't sharing it, there's probably a story there, too.

Either way, I love to help you explore how you could share it to inspire others. Stay tuned for more or DM me for a private conversation.

✨ 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

Lynette Reiling wrote a book after gaining the skills and insight she gained on her own journey, and through helping so many others navigate their "encore life."

While the news might be telling us that the situation is dire for folks at midlife and beyond, Lynette shines her light on all the gifts we have access to at this stage: 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, just to name a few!

Lynette's book, 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘌𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 and perspective. She sees midlife and beyond as an opportunity to write a new script and to take center stage as the director of your life.

Messages like Lynette's are more important now than ever.
I'm grateful for her and other leaders who are shining their light, lifting us up when we need it most.

✨ Legacy
That word can span a world of impact.
Legacy to this author means sharing his incredible story with his grandson. That was always his goal, from the first meeting we had to talk about his book.

Michael's legacy is not only in his often harrowing stories, but in what he learned from the experiences he had over the 20-year span that he climbed all of Colorado's 14ers.
Being the first African American to reach that goal isn't the point for him. It is passing on his love of nature, of challenging himself physically and mentally, and of always learning about himself, others, and what we're capable of.

Will his story have a positive impact beyond his grandson? Of course. But like so many authors who say, "If I can make a difference in one person's life, it's all worth it," Michael Richardson has already met that goal.

✨ What does leaving your legacy mean to you?

✨ Dare to share your story?

Think about the last time you told a personal story (and I don't mean a "dad" joke or a raunchy tale!) 😄
How did the person listening react?
Were they leaning in, wondering what would happen next? What did they do when you were done sharing your story?

In my first conversation with Bonnie, she asked me about my backstory. There are a few stories I could choose from, so I "read the zoom room" and decided to dive into a deeper story than just my résumé. She responded by leaning in and nodding "yes" to everything I said. Then she shared a similarly vulnerable story about her own background. We connected on astoundingly common ground from dysfunctional childhoods to career trajectories. I felt safe and seen while I wanted her to feel the same way. We instantly bonded, and have become good friends while crafting powerful books and women's retreats.

That's the power of sharing our stories. Humans have a deep need to connect, and stories are a big part of how we do that.

Now, could that conversation have gone differently? Sure, it could have. But I usually bet on people feeling at home when I invite them into a container where we can get real and be ourselves. We crave that too.

✨ Do you dare to share the story behind your story? When you do, what reaction do you get?
