What do you do when your friend’s partner writes a book? You buy it of course 🎉

Did I even read the blurb before hitting ‘add to cart’? Of course not.

Will I love the book? I judge a book by its cover, and this books cover was designed by an IRL friend, so yes.

Does it get a premium spot on the shelf? Duh, premium shelf space in my library is one of the few perks I offer to people (and their partners) who have ever had to deal with me IRL.

Will I be writing a review and giving updates as I read? For sure, I am nothing if not yappy.

Does anyone else collect beautiful books in languages they can’t actually read? 🙈 or is it just me?

My best friend travels to Finland a few times a year and she is always looking for unique gifts to bring back for me and she found this beautiful hardcover book 😍

The only problem? The book is only in Finnish and there’s not an English translation available 😩

Will I hold my phone up on every page for Google Translate to give me the English translation for the entire book? 👀 Probably it sounds really good and y’all know how much I love romantasy 😍😍😍

Broken Wings & Tangled Webs is a short and sweet, but dark and comedic, Archnae x Athena, modern romantasy, Greek retelling that you just CANNOT miss if you love strong, sapphic women. I am absolutely obsessed with this story, the author, and the entire interconnected world fae has created.

Gigi Zarbi is a must-buy author for me and I know if you give faer world a chance you will love it as much as I do!

Mixing it up a little bit… here’s a SERIES that lives rent free in my head. I seriously contemplate rereading this entire series every few weeks. I haven’t gone back for a reread yet (so many books, so little time), but I am pretty sure it’s inevitable that I do revisit.

Also, y’all it’s really hard to hold 6 books this far out from my body with my non-dominant hand… should I have used the zoom out function? Yes, 100%. Did I? Of course not, I didn’t even think of it until now. My poor little scrawny arm hurts.

Dragon Gods by Kiersten Michele

I seriously CANT stop thinking about it and CANT wait to read book 2 of this duology - which releases on June 4th!

What’s one book that lives rent free in your head and no matter how long it’s been since you’ve read it that you just can’t stop thinking back to it?

For me, one of those books is When We Had Forever by Shaylin Gandhi!

This book seriously still has me in a chokehold because of how hard it had me SOBBING. It’s such a good story of finding love after loss, second chances, and figuring out who you are when you’ve lost everything.

If you love romance books with a twist, MCs in their 30s/40s, and dual timelines then this book is for you 😍

Sometimes you just have to take a little break, but I don’t know if y’all are ready for a little break… and by a little break I mean reading a short and spicy novella about a woman who wakes up in a mansion to 4 masked men who tell her IICYIFY and the only way she gets to leave is if she survives the night…

QOTD: do you like the IICYIFY trope? Or do you not even know what that acronym means? 🤭
