Update from Israel and Derech Eretz Pre-Military Program A few months ago, I wouldn’t have thought that I’d be writing these words. And I certainly didn’t think I’d be ending this journey the way I did.

Super excited for our partnership organization Derech Eretz. The fellas were at an officer induction ceremony for some of the pre-army training participants. It’s a great honor to represent your country in the military but in Israel to be an officer you must commit more than the mandatory service of 2-3 years. Most will stay in the service with their commission for another two years. We are super proud of this organization and our partnership with them. Rest assured, 95% of all donations to Fulda Foundation go straight to the scholarships of teenagers like this. Kol Hakavod!
Our friends at Fraenkenlufer Synagogue in Germany doing awesome things in the community. Take a look 👀
Yesterday a group of volunteers came together and did something super humbling and gratifying. The group took three hours out of their day to make gift bags for veterans and staff in the VA hospital. We had people that drove from Colorado Springs, we had veterans from the Jewish War Veterans Post #344 volunteer to help and meet the young adults from the area and help pass out the bags in the hospital. In the end, it was an incredible bonding experience amongst a group of people just wanting to brighten other people's day.
Thank you to Mallory Grossman for helping round up volunteers and supplies, thanks to Paul Goldman and Hal and Joyce Taback for hanging with us "Youngins," and thanks to all the volunteers who came out to bring some joy to strangers on this particular day we call Memorial Day.

Yesterday Fulda Foundation had another Nosh with a Mensch event with two of our favorites, Bernie and Lee, for an excellent dinner at North in Cherry Creek. The staff was super accommodating to our group, and it was a great time to connect with people. This may be one of our smaller projects, but it means a lot to connect the generations and talk about important issues.
Looking forward to the next event in May, thanks to everyone who joined us last night.
