No war goes “well”. I am anti war!

In the poll, 57 percent believe the conflict is ending up either “somewhat badly” or “very badly” for their country, while 43 percent said the conflict is turning out “very well” or “somewhat well.” Story link in the comments.

I am tired of being told race doesn’t matter. I am tired of told that somehow we must be the bigger people. I am tired of the disrespect. I am tired.

I welcome Senator Mark Kelly to the Censure Club.

Naval Officer, Astronaut, and Senator Mark Kelly is being targeted for doing the right thing. Speaking up. Telling the truth. Refusing to fall in line.

I know retaliation when I see it. I was censured by the University of Colorado Board of Regents for exercising my First Amendment rights as an elected official. My so called offense was standing up forcefully against racist tropes created by University of Colorado Anschutz, and for defending Democratic values when others chose comfort over courage. That was not accountability. It was punishment for refusing to stay quiet.

My censure of the only military veteran and the first Black woman commissioned through the Naval ROTC Battalion at University of Colorado Boulder, and the only Black Regent, is now the longest censure and sanction in University of Colorado history. It remains in force today. I am still barred from attending football games, luncheons, and any event where Regents are invited. This is prolonged retaliation designed to isolate, silence, and erase.

So Senator Kelly, welcome to the Censure Club. I stand with you and with my military brothers and sisters who choose allegiance to the Constitution and the rule of law over political pressure and political games.

I wear my censure as a badge of honor. I do not regret standing up to racism. I do not regret calling out racist systems and behavior. I do not regret standing up to MAGA extremism or confronting leaders who refuse to lead. I will always choose values over comfort.

As your representative in Congress, I will fight for you. I will fight for the Constitution. I will fight for democracy. And I will never back down.

When our rights are under attack, the answer is not silence. The answer will always be a call for warriors who fight for what is right.

We Deserve Better.

It is time for a plan. It is time for real leadership. It is time.

December 15, 2025

Today is my annual “Check Your Bo***es Day”.

I had my mammogram and an ultrasound. If you have dense breast tissue and most women do the ultrasound matters. It can catch what a mammogram alone may miss.

This is your reminder to not take your health for granted. Life is busy. We put ourselves last. We say we will schedule it later. Later is not a plan.

Early detection saves lives. Mine. Yours. Your sister’s. Your daughter’s. Your best friend’s.

Make the appointment. Keep the appointment. Encourage the women you love to do the same.

Your health is not optional. Thank you to The Women’s Imaging Center! And my Bo***es thank you as well!
