JUST RELEASED: Funding opportunity for teams advancing community-based midwifery at the state-level

📢 We are inviting state-based teams to apply for a 15-month, grant-funded initiative that will support teams in their efforts to promote awareness about the value of community-based midwifery and to advance policy that improves perinatal care access and outcomes through the midwifery model of care.

⏰A preliminary eligibility form is due April 17, with the full application form due April 27, 2026!

Teams that are selected will receive
*tailored technical assistance
*curated resources and tools
*peer-to-peer collaborations
*shared learning opportunities

State-based teams will be supported through this initiative by the seven stewarding organizations
* American Association of Birth Centers
* Birth Center Equity
* Birth Place Lab
* Elephant Circle
* Institute for Medicaid Innovation
* The National Association to Advance Black Birth- NAABB
* National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM)
