Happy everybody! As always, this is in the spirit of practice!
Many educational entrepreneurs give away a free course in trade for an email. Solid move.
And one of the biggest things that gets people to sign up for these classes are the testimonials. Testimonials are a form of "social proof" , and they're one of the most powerful drivers of sales today.
Getting those initial testimonials can be pretty tough at first. So, many entrepreneurs beta test their free courses with people who may not be perfect prospects, but who can attest to the course's quality. They'll take the feedback from the beta testers -- if it's good -- and turn those into testimonials to use on the initial course landing page.
If you're going to go the free course has a lead gen route, try beta testing to get testimonials!

I like things being nice and tidy. Especially strategies.
Organizing your business offerings into a clear ascension of products or services is a great way to capitalize on the "foot in the door" effect. This term was coined by Friedman and Frazier at Standford in the '60s.
Essentially, they found people agree to things they wouldn't have -- say, a high priced course for example -- if they agreed to little requests previously, such as a free grab.
In other words, people won't buy expensive s*** until they've bought cheaper s*** to test the waters.
That's where the idea of a value ladder comes in handy.

When you set out to sell ANYTHING, you are basically telling people, "Here, this will fix your problem!"
And because nobody can predict the future... People will usually have some healthy skepticism. It's your job to somehow prove to them that you're not full of s*** when you you say that your solution will help.
Most entrepreneurs know that testimonials are dope. Need those. Nobody's arguing that.
But that's only one form of proof.
They're a lot more.
This isn't a full list, but swipe through to see the eight main forms of proof that you can incorporate into your sales and marketing messages. Spicing a variety of these across your social channels, website, onboarding process, etc. will make prospects go from asking to see your portfolio to asking, "When can you send me an invoice?"
