One more successful Data-Driven Performance Engineering Seminar in Adrian, Michigan. We had an excellent group of people, interested in taking data-driven decisions. Thank you to all who attended.
Next month, we will still be in Michigan, but now hosting the Applied Vehicle Dynamics Seminar. If you want to deepen your knowledge in vehicle dynamics and understand why your car behaves as it does, this is your chance.

When we test a car on a 4-post rig, we look at the vertical load variations. But what do we actually know about a tireβs vertical stiffness and damping under real track conditions?
Our engineers will tell you that minimizing tire force variation is the ultimate goal for grip. But the relationship between vertical load and lateral grip is far from linear.
If you want to know how excitation frequencies, tire stiffness variations, and non-linearities actually dictate your tire's contact patch behavior under track conditions, this is a must-read.

Are you ready to defend your design?
We are happy to announce that our president, Claude Rouelle will be back at the Michigan International Speedway as a Design Judge for FSAE Michigan IC 2026!
For more than 20 years, Claude has been pushing teams around the world to show their best engineering and vehicle dynamics projects. This is your chance to show the world that your car isn't just a guessβit's engineered for performance.
To all the teams competing: Bring your data, bring your logic, and most importantly, bring your "A" game. Weβll see you at MIS!
Have you ever wondered what an OptimumG Seminar looks like?
Today, we are bringing to you some of the background and explanations about the Data-Driven Performance Engineering Seminar! π
In the Data-Driven Performance Engineering Seminar, we cover topics such as
fundamentals and principles of data analysis;
tire testing modeling;
suspension kinematics and kinematics optimization;
grip, balance, control, and stability;
track performance prediction;
cars' and drivers' KPIs
data acquisition and more...
Our next stop with this seminar is in Adrian, Michigan, from May 17th to May 20th.
Check our calendar in bio and come get your own point of view on our seminar!
Stop saying "Weight Transfer"!
It is one of the most common terminology mistakes in motorsport engineering. As Claude Rouelle explains, weight transfer happens when physical mass moves inside the car (like fuel sloshing or a passenger shifting). Load transfer is about the forces happening at the tire contact patch.
And here is the golden rule:
Displacement and force are NOT the same thing.
Drivers often complain about having "too much roll," thinking it equals high load transfer. But you can have a massive amount of load transfer with almost zero chassis roll angle.
Want to understand the physics behind this and how it affects your anti-roll bar setup?

It's time to understand how OptimumG develops our software!
On April 8th and 9th, we'll present two free webinars about "Structured Approach to Vehicle Dynamics Simulation". π₯
We'll show you how we approach βsimple to complicatedβ fundamentals at OptimumG. Our engineers will demonstrate how they develop and efficiently use a two-wheel transient model that includes parallel coordinates and a phase portrait.
On the second day, we will show you an example of the abstract approach of Skip pad optimization and also a simple software development on an open-loop 4-wheel model transient load transfer.
You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you want.
We're waiting for you!

Excellent seminar in Stockholm, Sweden, at Γhlins headquarters. We would like to thank all the participants for their initiative and enthusiasm.
A very special thanks to Γhlins, who welcomed us to this seminar and not only played a key role in making the seminar happen, but also brought several pieces of knowledge and experience to it.

In our last Data-Driven Performance Engineering Seminar, we had a very special bonus* for the participants.
OptimumG has hired Dr. Jacques Dallaire, founder of Performance Prime, to do a seminar and individual sessions with all the employees, aiming to improve their professional and personal performance. However, what was supposed to be only for the OptimumG became a gift from Jacques to all that seminar participants in Brazil.
An internationally recognized educator, author, and performance coach, Dr. Jacques Dallaire, with more than five decades of proven experience in the high-performance world, is a man in demand all over the globe. Performance Prime develops and delivers programs & products that are designed to help individuals, teams, & groups realize their maximum performance potential.
During two days, part of the seminar was dedicated to Dr. Jacques Dallaire's seminar, which taught how to focus on the right thing, at the right time; how to diminish anxiety and self-doubt; how the human mind works, and how we can control our thoughts and perspectives to achieve the highest success.
Speaking from the OptimumG, we can say that the seminar and the individual sections with Dr. Jacques Dallaire were truly inspiring, clarifying, and a true guide to what really matters when you're called to perform.
*It's important to mention that this occasion happens exclusively at this seminar due to a coincidence of dates that the seminar occurred and the training that was scheduled for the OptimumG team. The participation of Dr. Jacques Dallaire is NOT included and/or confirmed in future regular OptimumG seminars.

You change the springs. You stiffen the ARB. You adjust tire pressures. And the carβ¦ does nothing. π
In this clip, Claude Rouelle explains a common frustration in racing: a car that is "numb" to setup changes.
The culprit? Kinematics.
As Archimedes said: "Give me a lever and a place to stand, and I will move the world." Springs and dampers provide the force, but your suspension geometry (Kinematics) provides the leverage. If your pick-up points dictate poor motion ratios or force vectors, no amount of spring tuning will fix the car's balance. You must fix the geometry first.
Mastering this concept is so critical that we dedicate an entire chapter to Kinematics & Compliance in our Applied Vehicle Dynamics seminar.
Don't just tune the forces. Tune the application points.
