Exploring Hypnosis: Understanding the Mind–Body Connection Through Guided Experience
Presented by: Sarah Rubens

Free Event on June 20th via Zoom
https://hubs.la/Q04k5GR80

Join Tree Star Hypnosis founder Sarah Rubens for an experiential introduction to hypnosis designed for anyone curious about the subconscious mind and transformational change work.

This workshop will explore what hypnosis actually is (and isn’t), how hypnotic states work within the nervous system, and the ways hypnosis can complement existing healing and energy-based practices. We’ll discuss common misconceptions, the science and psychology behind trance states, and how hypnosis can support emotional regulation, behavioral change, inner resource building, and deeper mind–body awareness.

Participants will also experience a gentle guided group hypnosis session firsthand, offering an opportunity to directly experience focused awareness, subconscious imagery, and deep relaxation in a supportive group setting.

This workshop is educational, experiential, and beginner-friendly - no prior experience with hypnosis is needed.

In this workshop, we’ll explore:
- What hypnosis is and how it works
- The relationship between hypnosis, the nervous system, and subconscious processing
- Common myths and misconceptions about hypnosis
- How hypnosis can complement energy healing and holistic practices
- What trance states feel like experientially
- A guided group hypnosis experience for relaxation, insight, and inner connection
- Whether you are simply curious about hypnosis or interested in how subconscious work can integrate with your existing healing modalities, this workshop offers a grounded and approachable introduction to the field.

Facilitator Bio: Sarah Rubens is the founder of Tree Star Hypnosis and a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Grief Coach, and End-of-Life Doula. She works one-on-one with clients using hypnosis and facilitates groups and professional workshops that integrate hypnosis with coaching, reflection, and experiential practices. Her work supports individuals and organizations navigating grief, identity shifts, and major life transitions, with an emphasis on practical tools, nervous system awareness, and real-life integration.

You became a nurse because you wanted to make a difference, then leadership happened.

Suddenly you were managing budgets, navigating burnout, and holding your team together. Somewhere in the middle of all of it, the version of you that felt called to this work got a little quieter.

That's not failure. That's what happens when leaders are never given the space to grow inward.

The best nurse leaders we know aren't the ones who push hardest.

They're the ones who learned to lead from a place of wholeness. Those who discovered that their compassion wasn't a weakness to manage, instead it was a wisdom to develop. That's what the Caritas Leadership Program® was built for.

Over 6 months, you'll join a circle of nurse executives, CNOs, and academic leaders who are choosing to grow. Not just in skill, but in presence and purpose. It's the kind of leadership that actually changes a unit, a hospital, and the culture from within.

Guided by WCSI Caritas Faculty. Grounded in Jean Watson's Caring Science.
✦ Monthly virtual learning circles
✦ 21 AHNA-approved contact hours
✦ Scholarships available
✦ Cohort 12: August 2026 - January 2027

This is for the leader who still believes healthcare can feel more human. 🕯️
