Lag BaOmer begins tonight, a moment in the Omer when we pause to celebrate light, growth, and the power of each day. This week’s reminder invites us to see every day as an opportunity, something to be counted, noticed, and elevated. Even beyond Lag BaOmer, may we carry this mindset with us, finding meaning in the ordinary and intention in the everyday.
🔥 Did someone say free tacos for Taco Tuesday?? Oh yeah, WE DID! Join us for our annual Ignite: Lag BaOmer Festival (Tuesday, May 5th at 6:30 PM) — happening rain or shine! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the celebration indoors, but everything will still take place at BMH-BJ (560 S. Monaco Pkwy).

🇮🇱 Today we celebrate Israel Independence Day:Yom Ha’atzmaut
💙A day filled with pride, resilience, and joy, honoring the founding of the State of Israel in 1948. From moments of reflection to celebrations with music, food, and community, it’s a reminder of the strength and spirit that continue to shape Israel today. A few fun facts about Yom Ha’atzmaut:
✡️ It begins immediately after Yom HaZikaron (Memorial Day), moving from remembrance to celebration
✡️ Israel declared independence on May 14, 1948, by David Ben-Gurion
✡️ It’s celebrated on the Hebrew date of 5 Iyar, so the Gregorian date changes each year
✡️ BBQs (mangal or al ha’aish) are a huge tradition across the country, parks fill up fast.
