I was truly honored to share Riggs Ventures’ Aspects of Critical Crisis Communications — a framework developed from decades of experience in crisis leadership, safety, and organizational communication.
It’s always inspiring to connect with leaders dedicated to strengthening public safety and improving how we communicate in critical moments.

Riggs Ventures is frequently called upon to provide safety and security services for a wide range of situations. Often, we assist individuals and organizations in navigating protests and potential incidents of violence. Recently, our team supported an event that coincided with the No Kings Rally held in a major city.
I visited the rally on several occasions to observe and monitor the group’s march. The majority of participants were peacefully exercising their constitutionally protected right to free speech and were generally friendly and approachable.
However, a few splinter groups were present, promoting violence, intimidation, and threats. During the march, these fringe elements attempted to block a nearby highway to disrupt traffic. Law enforcement responded swiftly and effectively, preventing escalation. These individuals, many masked, also hurled insults and threats as they passed by--I was a victim of a few of these:)
While our clients remained safe throughout the event, it was clear that without proactive safety measures and planning, the situation could have placed people and property at significant risk, which is a shame!
Here is an idea for all of us: Let's peacefully discuss, disagree, protest, and vote and agree that violence or the threat of violence is never the solution in our Republic.

Part of our Riggs Ventures Team was recently in Miami, providing executive and event security at two resorts and two off-site events. Other members of our team are working on upcoming leadership training for a major city and security and safety training for churches in the Austin, Texas area. Following thoughtful prayer and consideration, Kara and I are pleased to announce our continued investment in the growth and development of our business. We are excited to establish operations in our new office in Corpus Christi, Texas. The office provides additional space for future expansion and collaboration.

Our team looks forward to serving our expanding client base and fostering new relationships that reflect our commitment to excellence.

In the coming weeks, we will formally announce several new strategic partnerships, showcase our current service offerings, unveil our updated website, and introduce an enhanced social media presence to better connect with our clients and community.

On a personal note, we will continue to serve at Bridgeway Church in Corpus Christi.

Being asked to present the Key Note at this upcoming conference is an honor.
