American condos started right before 1960 and have been unregulated ever since. The ages of today’s buildings, underfunded reserves, disjointed legislation and the lack of HOA guidance, have finally caught up with us and will create the perfect storm, ultimately affecting everyone in America.

This is no longer an isolated problem for today’s condo owners to face on their own. Yesterday’s owners “kicked the can down the road” without recognizing the long-term financial and safety devastation this would cause, something early legislation and regulation might have prevented.

We will use this forum to reveal many of the issues American condo owners are struggling with today, and many more we will all be forced to face over the next 10 years!

Issues that will affect every homeowner and renter in America, as well as the businesses and neighborhoods each of these condos are located in.
..while keeping in mind, based on past and current attempts to collaborate with Government, it is highly UNLIKELY the Government will be interested in partaking in bailing out hundreds of thousands of condos, and their owners, any time soon.

For now, we are left to face these issues on our own.

Knowing 50% of all condos were built 30 years ago, and many more before that, we are entering the age of a perfect storm.

We could be facing $50,000 - $400,000+ assessments
..even foreclosures.

Stories that many have already experienced.

OR EVEN WORSE, another horrible condo collapse!!

CONDO LIFE IS INCREDIBLE, BUT EDUCATION IS KEY

TOGETHER WE CAN KEEP EVERYONE SAFE

I am on a journey, traveling from city to city writing a “High-Rise Living” book. Staying in cities, and their condos, that have been part of our growth plan from the beginning, 5 years ago.

June 12, 2022: I’m in city #2, Atlanta, and this is the gem I booked! If I have to be locked inside writing on a gorgeous day, I’m going to do it princess style, with a tiara (or a crown, if I decide to switch it up), on a throne, and sleeping in a bed made for royalty.

Let the journey begin…I am off, purchasing one way airline tickets to whatever city is calling me as I write a book about our company.

I’m excited to see some of the cities that have been on our growth plan. To learn about each one of them, stay in their condos and meet the great people who make them what they are.

Stop #1, Nashville. June 5, 2022.

Got to reconnect with an old friend over karaoke from 35 years ago! Word of advice, Nashville is not the place for karaoke for amateurs, but he KILLED it!!! What a great start to the journey.

DID YOU KNOW?
The bridges at Speer Blvd and 23rd Ave have the lowest clearance on all of I-25, from Wyoming to New Mexico!

These bridges currently have very low clearance, which means that high-clearance vehicles often hit into the underside of the bridges, causing structural damage. To improve overall safety and operations at the interchanges, the project team will likely also be considering how to reconfigure on-ramps, off-ramps, and pedestrian and bicycle connections across the highway. There will be a range of options, known as alternatives, on which to gather community input. Each alternative that will be identified and considered will be sure to support broader goals for the I-25 corridor. This is the first project resulting from a 2020 study known as the I-25 Central Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study, which identified this Project at Speer Blvd and 23rd Ave as a high-priority, early-action project for CDOT’s work along the I-25 corridor. Overall, the Project has important goals:

-Prevent low-clearance impacts,
-Reduce dangerous stop-and-go traffic,
-Improve travel time, and
-Increase connectivity between the Highlands, Jefferson Park, & Downtown neighborhoods.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) launched the I-25: Speer Boulevard and 23rd Avenue Bridge and Interchange Project during the Summer of 2021 to focus on replacing the bridges that cross over Interstate 25 (I-25) at Speer Blvd and 23rd Ave in Central Denver. This project seeks to improve operations and safety for vehicles; improve facilities for pedestrians, bikes, and
micro-mobility options (e.g., scooters, skateboards, etc.); and consider potential future safety improvements and a managed lane system through the project limits between 20th Street and W. Colfax Avenue.

As a member of the stakeholder group, I would like to hear thoughts and ideas as well as information about future development, from anyone who is willing to share, to ensure everything is taken into consideration as the city moves through this process.

Please reach out to me directly to discuss. Thank you.

I’ve been talking about inspirational people I am honored to get to be around, lately. Many of you might know that I have become a huge fan of Ferrari racing thanks to my dear friend, Todd Coleman.

He is a very successful CEO who picked this “hobby” up just a couple years ago. He ended last season in Italy, first in America and second in the world in his class. Quite a hobby, Ha? That’s the inspiration I’m talking about. He’s a huge success at everything he does, because of his commitment and dedication.

This past weekend was the first time I got to see him race in person, at COTA in Austin. First, if you ever get a chance to go to Ferrari races, if they are ever near your hometown, it’s a must do!

Second, being around the energy of somebody who is so passionate about something like this, takes you to an incredible high yourself. What an honor to get to experience this with him and to learn from this kind of leader. The focus, energy, commitment, drive and dedication is something you can literally feel from someone like him.

A fun and successful weekend for all of us who made the trip from Denver and those who joined us directly from Austin. Thank you all for joining and making it even more fun!!!

Cheers to Todd and his team, thank you for representing Denver High Rise Living on your wonderful journey and sharing that with me.

Ferrari race season officially starts this weekend and it will be the first time I get to see a race in person so friends and I are heading back to Austin to cheer Todd Coleman on and watch the Denver High-Rise Living logo race around the track!!!

As a reminder, Todd ended the 2021 year in Italy, second in the WORLD and FIRST IN AMERICA!! (celebrating 2021 and ringing in an exciting 2022 in the 1st pic)

You can watch these races live this weekend. Qualifying takes place Saturday morning and Sunday morning, and then the races are early each afternoon.
