I think authentic moments are the ones most worth capturing. it can be grocery shopping as a family... getting coffee before church on Sunday... hiking in blowing rock... spending the afternoon at the dog park… shopping for a Christmas tree… making pancakes on Saturday morning… having a date night… or getting married. I want to document moments that were going to be lived anyway.

It’s grad season and I have had the best seniors this year. Im so inspired by these sessions.
I love getting to talk to young people, hear about things the love (or don’t), and where they want to go.
If there is one word (or a hyphenated one) that I find myself using to describe them it is “self-aware”.
Meeting in downtown Lincolnton for senior portraits was perfect. Her request was the complete opposite of most requests for locations and I LOVE when that happens.
I actually love to become friends with my seniors on IG so I can see their next chapter in action. I truly can’t wait to see what’s next for you Vanessa! Congratulations!!

You don’t just get all smiles in your gallery. I like to include real moments with a range of emotions, lots of candids and images you might not treasure as much now as you will in 2, 5, 10 years.

Watch all the way through for a funny easter egg.
Get weird. Who cares?
If nothing else, it creates a moment, a laugh, a memory.
Most of the time, even if you embarrass yourself, you’ll probably never see these bystanders again in your life.
Act a fool and laugh a lot. Because if you can’t laugh at yourself, it’s going to be a very rough life.
So grateful for people who email me with an idea and trust. You’re the real MVPs.
