With the temperatures dropping this weekend, I thought it was the perfect idea to make cholent, a traditional Shabbat slow cooker dish! I made the recipe from Modern Jewish Cooking, subbing out wheat berries for quinoa to make it gluten free. What’s your favorite Shabbat meal?

Made an allergen free version of Let’s Do Dinner Turkish Meatballs! I agree that broiling meatballs is a delicious way to cook them, and the recipe turned out great! The recipe is naturally and only needed a couple swaps to be and . I used instead of a regular egg to bind the meatballs. For the yogurt sauce, I subbed in yogurt for the whole milk yogurt and feta to top everything off.

I was so impressed with how well catered to my food allergies (gluten, dairy, eggs). The menu is clearly labeled for gluten free items, and our waitress confirmed with the kitchen modifications for my additional restrictions. I was also super excited the gluten free flatbread didn’t have eggs (they brought out the ingredients book so I could confirm), but the gluten free sandwich buns/bread do have eggs in case anyone else needs to know. The food was all super delicious, and I’m super excited to go back and try more!

Went hiking today at Garden of the Gods. Fueled after at in Old Colorado City! Not only is their entire menu gluten free, they had vegan options (including vegan queso!) and were very knowledgeable about my additional allergies. The food was delicious! A great option if you are hungry after hiking Garden of the Gods or Pikes Peak!

Exploring my new state and finding all my new favorite gluten free options. Really liked since 96% of their menu is gluten free! They had everything clearly marked and were knowledgeable about other allergens. Thanks for an awesome meal!
