MATTERIAL is the brand we use to define everything we make.
Stationery and Solidtype and even the Files and piles…it is the inventive side hustle of MATTER.
The curious little sister, the brand called MATTERIAL is an expression of how design always speaks to the need. If we don’t see something in the world in the way we need it, we make it.
MATTERIAL was called Paper 2.0
MATTERIAL: What the internet will be replaced by. (HaHa)
Solidtype is MATTERIAL
The stationery is MATTERIAL
We used to think of MATTERIAL as tools. I still think they are.
Tell me what else you need. The goal is to be bold.
Find it all in the shop or online (Linkin.bio).

What patterns of supremacy shape the ways we practice, learn, and leverage design for social and environmental justice work? Activist design collectives like Dark Matter U (DMU) and Design as Protest (DAP) seek to call out some of the institutions that perpetuate white supremacy in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, planning, and graphic design.
Join people within and beyond these fields to think critically about patterns of supremacy that we can make visible and organize to dismantle.
The event will include a brief reading and workshop. First, authors of DMU’s Challenging Patterns of Supremacy (2025) and DAP’s Chapbooks (forthcoming) will share brief examples of ways they organize to address supremacy through pedagogy and direct action. Then we’ll work collectively to create zines as a demonstration of an organizing tactic!
Food + drinks provided. Participants all provided free copies of 'Challenging Patterns of Supremacy' and the 'Chapbooks' will be provided to all participants. Suggested donations of $10 will all go to support Matter and their amazing platform!
Monday, June 22 from 5:00-7:00pm. RSVP through our Linkin.bio.
