Some people think that overworking and burnout are just part of the Kingdom. Our reasonable sacrifice. I used to believe that but I don't any more. Here are my thoughts on burnout as a badge of honor on Substack. If you are on Substack follow and read. Love you all.
Burnout Isn't A Badge Of Honor Toxic Cultures Glamorize Overwork
This year’s pastor’s gathering was another level of love, inspiration and encouragement! No words!! Pastors, we are in your corner. Thank you for being here!

Don’t be afraid of strong leaders, idealistic leaders, or even opinionated leaders! Someone’s strong personality and/or gifting doesn’t mean they have a wrong heart.
Would you rather spend your time managing someone’s mediocrity, lack of passion, or lack of excellence?
Commit to pastor your teams hearts, and when those leaders need to be shaped, they respond with humility. Why? Because they know you care about them.
I know that sometimes it just doesn’t work out with a leader, but our goal it to give it every chance for success. And sometimes… we just needed to grow as the leaders God wants us to be.
Love you all.

One of the most critical skills to learn is having brave conversations.
There are all kinds of brave conversations. But, at the core of each one is this need for authenticity and concern for both the church and for the individual.
You have heard me say that what you don’t confront becomes your culture. No one likes to have tough talks, but for the sake of what God is doing, having them is the most godly thing you can do. Avoiding them can bring entire teams, or aspect of vision to a complete stop for long periods of time.
You won’t always be perfect at it, and I have done this well and poorly. But when done in love it gives God room to do a miracle that you couldn’t have seen beforehand.
What brave conversation do you need to have this summer?
1. Pray for God’s grace on every situation.
2. Get wisdom from someone you trust.
3. Consider not having these talks alone for accountability.
4. Identify the redemptive purpose in the situation.
5. Prepare the ground of your own heart.
6. Cover the ones involved to others.
We had fun on Easter! What a great day. Look for him in the resurrection, not the grave.

Kathryn Kuhlman preached on our platform June 8th 1969. I was 13 months old. Here we are 53 years later, and we find ourselves believing for a fresh new wave of miracles in the days ahead. Not just in our church, but accords the nation. Praying for God to move powerfully. Let’s stay in prayer for revival everyone.

Probably after 30 years of ministry, one of the most important lessons I have learned is that people’s encouraging words to you, are more powerful than your critics words about you.
Ask God to place people in your life that love you on your best and your worst days, and have God’s best interest in mind for you. Then, let’s all be that for someone else and watch what God can do.
