We’re excited to welcome Rachel Dempsey back to the Mile-High MFA community for Summer Residency!

As a Regis Mile-High MFA alum and published author, Rachel is part of the creative legacy we’re celebrating during the program’s 10-year anniversary year. We’re grateful to highlight alumni whose work continues to grow beyond the program and return to inspire current writers.

June is National LGBTQIA+ Book Month — a time to celebrate q***r authors, stories, and literature that reflect the lives, voices, and experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community.

At Mile-High MFA, we believe storytelling helps create connection, visibility, and a more just world. This month, we encourage our writing community to read, share, and support LGBTQIA+ books, authors, libraries, bookstores, and local literary spaces.

Looking for a way to celebrate? Check out Pride-themed displays and events at Denver Public Library, explore LGBTQIA+ reading lists, or support local bookstores like Tattered Cover Book Store and West Side Books.
