Ideations, Inc. just finished designing, fabricating and installing a classy sliding sample package display for Taylor Morrison’s new development @ Mecanta in Castle Rock, CO. “Set” finish packages for residential home builders started emerging a few years ago but seems to be a strong trend that will continue through 2021. This display uses magnets behind the flooring samples to allow a client to mix and match samples from an a la carte board. Check out this 14’ x 5’ liquid black topography art piece we are installing in snowmass this weekend. This one will be interesting! CNC milled from over 250 3/4” wide slats 😳

Here's a little peak showing one small part of our typical design process. We usually begin a project by letting the ideas flow by just sketching out ideas and concepts on bumwad. This allows us to come up with several concept creations rapidly. This particular project was moving too quickly so we decided to jump right into producing a Sketchup model. From these initial layouts we then take each individual component and engineer how the pieces will go together and be fabricated in our shop. Almost every component we fabricate is a one off custom item so we learn something new on each project.

We recently completed a space for our friends at Forest City in Stapleton. This was a fun project that came together in a short 3 month time span which included initial design and planning, demo and construction and install of the final display components.
