Today, two of my bills were signed into law.
SB26-155 creates the Strengthen Colorado Homes Enterprise, helping homeowners make their homes more resilient to hail and wildfire damage while improving access to affordable homeowners insurance.
HB26-1429 helps ensure Colorado can continue administering critical public assistance programs by strengthening coordination between the state and counties and protecting access to benefits for those who need them.
Proud to see these efforts become law and grateful to everyone who helped get them across the finish line.

Yesterday, three of my bills, SB26-178, HB26-1425, and HB26-1382 were signed into law.
✅ SB26-178 helps keep health insurance more affordable for Coloradans.
✅ HB26-1425 strengthens oversight and consumer protections for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, improving care for families across our state.
✅ HB26-1382 invests in services and supports that help Coloradans with disabilities live more independently and thrive in their communities.
None of this happens alone. I’m incredibly grateful to the advocates, providers, stakeholders, community members, and legislative colleagues who helped bring these bills to life. Proud of what we achieved together, and excited to see the impact these laws will have across Colorado.

A busy day celebrating Boulder County Democrats Champions of Democracy and Rocky Mountain Equality’s annual Garden Party. Great to see so many friends standing up for our democracy and LGBTQ+ folks in our community.

Deeply honored to be recognized as Legislator of the Year by the Colorado Children's Campaign. I am truly humbled. The work we did this year was hard. We couldn’t prevent cuts but we did what we could to protect as many programs that kids and families rely on. Thanks to the Children’s campaign for their partnership and for this deeply meaningful recognition. We have so much more work to do.

This session, I had the honor of serving our community at the Capitol, fighting to make Colorado more affordable, improve access to health care, strengthen consumer protections, support workers and families, and invest in our future.
Despite a challenging budget year, we worked hard to deliver real results for Colorado — and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who shared their stories, advocated for change, and helped move this work forward.
Here are just a few highlights from this year’s legislative session.

Big day on the House floor — SB26-155, SB26-178, and SB26-003 officially passed the Colorado House and are now headed to the Governor’s desk. Proud to help move forward legislation focused on affordability, healthier communities, and responsible EV battery management as we head into the final stretch of session… almost sine die!
