2020 ChaserCon:
"GETTING BACK TO THE ROOTS OF YOUR PASSION"

As you begin to embark on your journey to Denver, please think about what sparked your passion for chasing. Think back to the very moment that got you hooked on chasing twirling, swirling water v***r and cauliflower clouds that produced shock producing light. Just...think about it.....

In 24plus hours we will start the beginning of the end of an era. An era that has brought together many like minded people year after year, breaking the SDS that's within us.
An era that has garnered us many new friends, as we still think about those we have lost along the way.
An era that has developed the new as well as rekindled the passion in others.
An era that has become a family to many around the World.

will FOREVER hold a dear spot in our hearts. Roger and myself will forever be grateful to those that have supported us over the years. From the vendors, the sponsors, the news stations that made announcements, to those attending, THIS WAS ALL DONE FOR YOU. And we have loved every minute spent putting it all together! This will be a bittersweet "see ya under the meso" weekend for us so forgive us if you see us shed a tear or 2. We both will miss squelching that cabin fever....I mean SDS...with you all!

It looks like we will have about 10 walk ins available Friday evening! Those coming to Chasercon are in for a wide variety of weather!! Convective snow showers this evening, clear and cool tomorrow, waves clouds and lenticulars Saturday, thickening cirrus Sunday with temps in the upper 60s, and then all hell breaks loose Monday with the potential of a 6-12 inch snowfall and dropping temps with blizzard conditions! Welcome to Colorado!!!!!!! This is what we live with all the time lol.

This is a bittersweet post. I just felt it was absolutely necessary to thank each and every one of you for all of the mentoring, encouragement and friendships that you've given to my daughter, Molly Houchins over the last 7 years. She was just 12 years old when she told us about this thing called "ChaserCon". As her parents, we wanted to encourage her interests and watched as she pledged sponsorships to get her there. She did it....and we've made sure she was able to attend for the next 7 years. Molly will be 19 years old this summer. She has chased with some of you, she has made some forever friends with some of you and because of that, she plans to pursue a career in Meteorology. YOU...All of you, have no idea how much you've influenced her love of all things weather. And for that, I want to THANK YOU for the past 7 years and I do hope that you keep in touch with her. If any of you are ever chasing in Northeast Missouri, you will always have a room at our house with steak & eggs on the table! God Bless each and every one of you!

This is the final day to register on line for Chasercon 2020! Registrations will close at midnight tonight. There may or may not be any walk ins available, depending on how many register on line today. Right now we are at 96% capacity! It's going to be a blast! Looking forward to seeing everyone Friday in balmy Denver!

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
We are asking those attending to bring your oldest ChaserCon tshirt to wear Saturday evening during the “ChaserCon History by Images” presentation. There may be several reasons for this. 😊😊😊😉😉😉
Saturday evening is going to be an interactive evening as we go through the images of ChaserCon past.
Plus we may have a few more things up our tshirt sleeves!!! 😊

A couple of updates!!!! First of all, Rich Davis at www.lightningtrigger.com is donating an awesome LT-IV to be given as a door prize this year ($400 value!!)! Secondly, we are UNDER 20 SEATS LEFT! Folks are seeing we are supposed to be warm and dry with temps in the 60s this weekend, which has caused a strong last minute push for sign ups. Thus, more than likely there will not be any walk in registrations available! Don't wait as there may not be any seats left!!!
