Five women linked together with a metal chain and standing in front of a chain link fence as part of the female-led strike in Brighton, Colorado against Kitayama floral plant. Guadalupe Briseño organized her fellow workers at the plant to protest against unfair working conditions, which cost her her job. Their 221-day strike began on July 1, 1968. Strikers endured financial strain and embittered struggle, and although they weren’t granted a union, conditions at the plant improved, and the strike was inspirational to many across the Chicano Movement.

Billionaire-funded anti-union groups are targeting Colorado firefighters and their union.

The Colorado Professional Fire Fighters (CPFF) is facing an advertising blitz attack on their union from these outside groups.

We stand with Colorado’s Professional Fire Fighters.

This fight is about more than one union.

It is about whose voice will be louder - firefighters and working people, or outside organizations with billionaire donors.

Who is funding these attacks?

A front group, the Fairness Foundation, is leading this attack.

Their campaign is anti-union at its core and led by billionaires trying to weaken public sector unions.

Let’s look at who funds this group:

The Adolph Coors Foundation

This group is the political arm of the Coors’ family fortune and funds the Fairness Foundation. They also provide funding against working people’s interests to groups including Advance Colorado, the American Enterprise Institute and Americans for Prosperity.

The Lynde & Harry Bradley Foundation

This is a billionaire anti-union foundation built to crush unions in Wisconsin and around the country. They are a major funder of attacks on public-sector unions and collective bargaining power including funding the Freedom Foundation that attacks teachers unions.

The Bradley Impact Fund

This is another organization in the anti-union Bradley network. It funds the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, the American Enterprise Institute and Americans for Prosperity - all groups pushing back against the power of working people.

Don’t be duped. We’ll see more of these attacks on workers building power. When you see them, ask:

Who paid for this ad?
Who benefits when workers’ voices are weakened?
What do these funders gain by running these ads?

We stand with CPFF against the influence of billionaires and for the rights of all workers to form strong unions.
