For the time being, thanks for being patient with me while I take a mini maternity leave. Soaking up all the newborn snuggles until this elopement and wedding season is back in full swing.

Almost 2 years after their gorgeous sunrise elopement in the mountains, I get to follow these two to Italy to document their wedding with all of their favorite people. September can’t come soon enough.

Let’s talk about wedding venues. When you choose a venue as stunning as lyonsfarmette you don’t need to add a whole lot. The scenery mixed with the perfect evening light speaks for itself. I highly recommend looking at tagged photos of the venues you’re interested in to see what it looks like at different times of year with totally different decor and vibes. The more you love your venue as is, the less you need to spend adding to it.

If you’re a little over the big wedding planning it’s ok to go small and intimate. In fact I only encourage doing what’s going to make you and your partner the happiest on your wedding day. This denverbotanic wedding was everything and more.

I always tell couples that once the shot list is complete and you’ve got all those awesome editorial and candid couples portraits, I truly become a fly on the wall.
