'There's blood on your hands': Anti-LGBTQ rhetoric surged ahead of Club Q shooting 11/23/2022

The Club Q attack did not happen in a vacuum. Dangerous narratives about LGBTQ+ people have been fueled by a slew of hostile legislation and policies aimed at erasing the discussion of LGBTQ+ related issues in schools, removing LGBTQ+ books from school and public libraries and, especially, to ostracize, defame and harass transgender people. Politicians, extremists and pundits alike are fanning the flames of this hateful campaign and it must stop now.

This story includes a summary of Hate Free Colorado's recent statewide survey on hate crimes.

'There's blood on your hands': Anti-LGBTQ rhetoric surged ahead of Club Q shooting LGBTQ activists and allies say inflammatory language by politicians and other public figures creates environment for violence.
