So, no. I don’t accept your version of me as some cold or selfish person who never cared. I’ve cared too much. I’ve bent until I almost broke. And now, I’m choosing peace. I’m choosing to stop fighting battles that only leave bruises.

You’re allowed to rest. You’re allowed to not be fine. Rest is part of recovery, not a pause from it.

This year tested me in ways I never expected. There were moments when I felt completely lost, and giving up seemed like the easiest option. What no one sees are the countless times I had to pick myself up, piece by piece, just to make it through another day. But here I am—still standing—and I’m incredibly proud of that.

This year taught me how strong I really am. It also taught me to forgive myself for accepting less than I deserve. It’s been one of the hardest years of my life, but I’ve grown so much through the pain. I survived, and I’m walking away with lessons I’ll carry forever.
