Who are the Heroes of COVID-19? Our volunteers are. Every person who picked up a piece of fabric, a rotary cutter, a sewing machine, their car keys, a package of elastic.
TedXMileHigh agrees. They profiled Dena and our organization today in their Heroes of COVID-19 series. Volunteers, pat yourselves on the back and enjoy a great read about how we got started and why we are doing this.
Thank you, TEDxMileHigh for taking the time to understand why we did this and how we got started.

“All benevolence and gratitude to the sewists today. ❤️🙏🏻
You just supplied the Samaritan House, Denver’s largest homeless shelter, with enough masks for their residents and team.
Pictured here is Father Michael, along with two (homeless) residents working the donation dock.
They were so grateful they nearly wept. The homeless gentleman with the paper mask leaned carefully over the basket, with his hands behind his back like a little kid trying to resist touching a beautifully wrapped Christmas gift, and whisper-asked “May *I* have one?”
Yes, sir, you may. ~ Namaste ~”
