Eliminating Homelessness Through Self-Sustainability

05/20/2025

If you're gonna run for office, you need to have thicker skin... you need to be able to respond to people without devolving into the ridiculous name calling and questioning someone's knowledge because they pointed out a flaw in your barely concept of a plan... The last thing this country needs is another thin skinned sycophant beholden to corporate donors and oligarchy and makes up stupid lies to ignore realities. Thats how we got into this situation in the first place..

Trying to end homelessness while facing down the barrel of homelessness yourself is an exhausting exercise in persistence. As much as i would like to post regularly, right now, I've got about 1 month before me and my family are homeless. Its not about being lazy or being inept or just wanting a government check. Besides, right now we don't even get that. Right now, the only government service we are relying on is medical insurance through the state of colorado. We didn't plan on being here, hell, it wasn't even until our food truck venture was cut short by a relative that didn't want to honor their word to their dying wife... It wasn't until we were facing down the barrel ourselves did i start to think about how to end this concept to begin with. Being autistic, i'm incredibly justice minded and there is no justice what so ever in having a homeless population to begin with. Other countries have ended their homeless problems in much the same way we propose in the Initiative. So, I set out to figure out a way for this country to end its homeless problems because I was facing it myself. I was raised to feel that we shouldn't force hardships upon others because they are learning experiences or character building, or just because its wrong to force others to suffer that which you had to endure for no good reason. I want to make life better for my children, but not only my children but for everyone. That is my goal for this project, the evolution of our society to give a s**t about people we don't know. The system is rigged against change and change takes time, way more than would be preferably by me and my family. I wish to hell someone else had thought of and built something similar to the Eureka Initiative so that we would have support and a place to rebuild our lives without threat of being forced out of our home. Have you ever faced homelessness or been homeless? share your stories and your sources for support to get out of homelessness for others
