Last week, CBSA members, staff, and lobbyists met with Colorado Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Phil Weiser. This valuable touchpoint before the primary election with AG Weiser included discussions about the impact of life sciences across Colorado and allowed CBSA members to share perspectives on key issues affecting innovation, healthcare, workforce, and economic growth in our state.
The meeting was also a critical opportunity for CBSA members to share concerns about the artificial intelligence bill recently passed by Colorado’s General Assembly. AG Weiser indicated that, whether he continues as Attorney General or is elected Colorado’s next governor, he wants to do what he can to make sure some of those concerns are addressed during the upcoming rulemaking process.
